This 1969 Plymouth Road Runner convertible was purchased new from Haggarty Motors of Great Falls, Montana, and it is said to have recently undergone a rotisserie refurbishment that was completed in 2024. Finished in Sunfire Yellow over tan vinyl, the car is powered by a 383ci V8 linked with a TorqueFlite three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes an Air Grabber hood, a black convertible top, a tan top boot, chromed steel 14″ wheels, red-line tires, power brakes, power steering, front bucket seats, and an AM radio. The selling dealer acquired the vehicle in mid-2026, and the hood stripes subsequently were repainted. This Road Runner is now offered in Texas at no reserve with a window sticker, 1969 purchase paperwork, and a Florida title.
Plymouth built 2,128 Road Runner convertibles for the 1969 model year, with 1,111 of those having the 383/automatic powertrain combination of this example, which was finished from the factory in Sunfire Yellow (Y2). This car was repainted during the aforementioned refurbishment, according to the seller. The black convertible top has been replaced and is accompanied by a tan top boot. Other exterior features include Road Runner graphics, a driver-side mirror, a fender-mounted antenna, rectangular side-marker lights, reverse lights, chrome bumpers, and dual exhaust outlets that exit beneath the rear bumper.
Black accents adorn the fender tops and the “Air Grabber” hood, which has red-grilled intake openings. The selling dealer states that the hood stripes were repainted in 2026 under their care.
Chromed steel 14″ road wheels are mounted with 235/70 BFGoodrich Silvertown red-line tires. The vehicle is equipped with power steering, and braking is provided by power-assisted front and rear drums.
The front bucket and rear bench seats are upholstered in tan vinyl and are complemented by a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpeting. Interior equipment includes front headrests, a Chrysler Solid State AM radio, a heater, front and rear seatbelts, and Plymouth-branded carpeted floor mats.
The three-spoke steering wheel has a horn ring and a Road Runner “Beep! Beep!” center cap. Instrumentation consists of a horizontal 120-mph speedometer and auxiliary readouts for alternator status, fuel level, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 54k miles, less than 10 of which were added by the selling dealer.
The 383ci Road Runner V8 was factory equipped with a four-barrel carburetor and was rated at 335 horsepower and 425 lb-ft of torque.
