This 1991 BMW M5 is powered by a 3.5-liter S38 inline-six paired with a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The car wears worn Sterling Silver Metallic paint over Black Nappa leather, and it is equipped with 17″ M System I wheels with “turbine” covers as well as a sunroof, heated power-adjustable front sport seats,and an Alpine stereo. The current owner purchased the car in 2023 and has since added approximately 1,500 of the 144k miles shown. The factory self-leveling rear suspension has been replaced with coilovers, per the selling dealer, and braking is handled by four-wheel ventilated discs with ABS. Blemishes are visible on the wheels.

The cabin features Black Nappa leather covering the heated power-adjustable front sport seats as well as the door panels and center console. Amenities include an onboard computer, a short-shifter, and an Alpine stereo. The passenger-side front door panel shows signs of separating, the cruise control is disconnected, and the selling dealer states that the air conditioning does not blow cold. A factory stereo head unit is included in the sale.

The steering wheel frames a 180-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for oil temperature, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 144k miles, approximately 1,500 of which were added under current ownership.

The 3.5-liter S38B36 inline-six was factory rated at 310 horsepower and 265 lb-ft of torque. The vehicle was designated by the state of California as a “gross polluter” in February 2007, and it most recently passed a California emissions test in August 2020.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Getrag 280/5 five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
