This 1991 Chevrolet Caprice was ordered new by the City of Niles, Ohio, for use by the Niles Police Department and is equipped with selected 9C1 police-package equipment. According to the seller, the city specified the optional 5.0-liter V8 in place of the standard 5.7-liter police engine to reduce acquisition costs. Finished in white over blue cloth upholstery, the car is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. The current owner acquired the Caprice approximately 10 years ago and has since added approximately 6k of the 107k miles shown. This Caprice is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with historical documents, a clean Carfax report, and a Pennsylvania title.

The car is finished in white and features dual side mirrors and spotlight that can be operated by the driver from inside the cabin. The seller notes that the police-style graphics were applied after the car left municipal service and are not original to its time with the Niles Police Department.

Steel 15″ wheels are mounted with Firestone Firehawk tires measuring 225/70. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums, and the car is equipped with a heavy-duty police-package suspension.

The cabin features front and rear bench seats upholstered in blue cloth with police emblem embroidery on the front headrests. A metal partition separates the front and rear parts of the cabin. Other equipment includes air conditioning, power accessories, dashboard-mounted radios, cupholders, and Chevrolet-branded rubber floor mats.

The two-spoke steering wheel frames a digital speedometer, a tachometer with a 5k-rpm redline, and gauges for voltage, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer indicates 107k miles, approximately 6k of which were added under current ownership.

The 5.0-liter V8 was factory rated at 170 horsepower and 255 lb-ft of torque. According to the seller, the car remained in active service with the Niles Police Department from 1991 until it was sold to an Ohio dealer in early 2002.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission. Rust is present on underside components, and additional photos of the undercarriage are provided in the image gallery below.
