Foster fail stories are amongst the best feline adoption stories out there. Beginning with the hilarious notion that the cat they saved from the streets will only be a temporary visitor in their home, a couple takes their time to tentatively get to know the cat. But before long they are head over heels and the whole thing is over with. That cat isn’t going anywhere. But what we do not often get to hear about is why this kitty was fated to join their fur family in the first place. There is no doubting the serendipitous and fateful nature of finding cats in crisis. Whether it be in a trash can, up a tree or suffering in ailments in an alleyway, it is not too difficult to find one, but we are not made aware of the ones who are not destined for us. Only a feline that has been fated to be yours will appear to you and make themselves known. Yet another reason as to why so many fosters fail, especially fosters who have rescued the cat themselves. Because the cat was always meant to be theirs.

It is a wonderful fact, but also one that does not receive all too much attention as the true reason the cat was destined to be with a specific family only reveals itself much later on.
