Cyberpunk 2077 is heading to Battle.net later this year, with CD Projekt Red confirming at BlizzCon 2026 that both the base game and Phantom Liberty will be joining Blizzard’s PC storefront.
The announcement came during the “30 Years of Battle.net With Special Guest CD PROJEKT RED” panel at BlizzCon, where CDPR’s Amelia Korzycka and Miles Tost appeared to talk about the growing partnership between the two companies.
When Cyberpunk 2077 arrives on Battle.net, players will be able to buy the base game and Phantom Liberty separately, while Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition, which bundles the two together, will also be available.
There is no firm release date yet beyond the confirmation that Cyberpunk will make the jump before the end of 2026.
It continues what is becoming an increasingly cosy relationship between Blizzard and CD Projekt Red, with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Remastered also coming to Battle.net. The remaster is currently set to launch on September 29, while its Songs of the Past expansion is due sometime in 2027.
However, simply getting more CD Projekt Red games onto Battle.net isn’t where this particular crossover ends.
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is coming to Overwatch in 2027
Overwatch players are also getting some Cyberpunk content of their own.
CD Projekt Red confirmed during the panel that collaborations based around both Cyberpunk: Edgerunners and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 will be coming to Overwatch during 2027.
Exactly what those collaborations will include hasn’t been revealed, but character skins would seem like the obvious place to start given Overwatch’s long history of crossover cosmetics.
The announcement was made on the fourth anniversary of the original Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime, while the newly announced Edgerunners 2 is scheduled to premiere exclusively on Netflix on October 20.
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners became an important part of Cyberpunk 2077’s comeback story following its original release. The anime’s arrival in 2022 coincided with a substantial resurgence in players for CD Projekt Red’s RPG, ahead of the subsequent Phantom Liberty expansion and the game’s extensive 2.0 overhaul.
Four years later, CDPR is clearly not finished with Night City just yet.
Geralt is also heading to Diablo IV
The Witcher is getting involved in the Blizzard crossover action as well.
A previously announced Geralt-themed Barbarian skin for Diablo IV was shown in full during the BlizzCon panel. The cosmetic gives Diablo’s Barbarian a suitably Geralt-inspired makeover and will be available to Battle.net players who pre-purchase Songs of the Past when pre-orders open, or buy the expansion following release.
It won’t be the only Witcher content coming to Sanctuary either.
Further Witcher-themed additions for Diablo IV are planned for 2027, although Blizzard and CD Projekt Red are keeping the details quiet for now.
The various announcements make the partnership considerably broader than simply putting CD Projekt Red’s games on another storefront. Battle.net was traditionally almost entirely devoted to Blizzard’s own games before gradually opening its doors to a wider selection of Activision titles and other releases.
Adding something as substantial as Cyberpunk 2077 to the platform is another notable step in that direction.
It also gives anyone who somehow still hasn’t visited Night City yet another place to buy it. Cyberpunk 2077 has changed enormously since its famously troubled launch in December 2020, with years of patches, new features, the huge 2.0 update, and Phantom Liberty transforming it into a very different game from the one that originally arrived.
Cyberpunk 2077, Phantom Liberty, and Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition will launch on Battle.net later in 2026. A precise release date has yet to be announced.
