Porsche 911 Type 930/20 3.2L Engine at No Reserve

This 3.2-liter flat-six engine was originally installed in a RoW 1985 Porsche 911 Carrera that the seller acquired in 2006 and that was totaled that year. The car’s odometer reportedly showed just under 108k miles at the time. The engine was removed from the car the following year. A leakdown test performed at that time indicated that one cylinder was leaking. The seller intended to rebuild the top end, but the work was not completed. The engine is offered at no reserve in Portland, Oregon, with a Bosch Motronic DME and an engine harness.

Porsche installed the Type 930/20 3.2-liter flat-six in its RoW Carrera models from 1984 to 1987. Equipment retained around the engine is photographed in the gallery below, and the seller notes that the engine ran before it was removed from the 911 19 years ago. A video of the engine being turned by hand is included below.

The engine case stamping ☆63F03406☆ shown above is consistent with Euro 1985 Carrera models equipped with the Type 930/20 engine.

A Bosch Motronic DME, engine harness, and some service records for the donor car are included and photographed in the gallery.
