The issue of cats making more cats is something that comes around time and again. It is why TNR programs are so important and why there is a decent amount of awareness on the subject. But that awareness and care is usually made exclusive to house cats. And while that is helpful, anyone who has seen a cat feeding corner on the street will tell you that indoor cats make up a tiny minority of the feline population and there are more than enough out there who are not getting help.

And while this issue is usually exclusively a feral cat problem, it can quickly become an indoor cat problem if you do not spay your cat and decide they ought to be out in the wild when on heat. Which sadly is how this story went down. For whatever unexplained reason this cat’s original pawrent figured it would be best for her to be left unneutered and outdoors to ‘sow her wild oats’. Only that is not really how it works out there.

Any pawrent worth their salt can tell you that cats are crazy, unhinged and that for the most part it is better that cats do not interact socially as it often ends up like an aggressive version of Geordie Shore. So that is what this poor indoor catto was left to handle on her own. Until one fateful day a helpful hooman happened to come along and change everything about this cat’s life for the better.
