This 1946 Cadillac Series 62 is one of 1,342 convertible examples produced for the model year and was refurbished under prior ownership in the early 1990s. The car is finished in black over red and tan and is powered by a 346ci L-head V8 paired with a four-speed Hydra-Matic automatic transmission. Equipment includes a tan power-operated convertible top, 15″ steel wheels with bright covers, a power-adjustable front bench seat, hydraulic power windows, an automatic underseat heater, and a push-button AM radio. Work in 2026 involved replacing the fuel tank, fuel sending unit, and wheel bearings as well as turning the factory brake drums and fitting replacement shoes. The body was finished at the factory in black and refinished under prior ownership. Red-finished 15″ steel wheels feature bright full covers and are mounted with 225/75 Diamondback whitewall radial tires. Braking is handled by four-wheel hydraulic drums. The three-spoke steering wheel features a bright horn ring and fronts a 110-mph speedometer as well as gauges for coolant temperature, amperage, fuel level, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 81k miles, approximately 300 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 346ci L-head V8 was factory-equipped with a two-barrel carburetor and was rated at 150 horsepower when new. A 1991 engine overhaul is detailed in records shown in the gallery. The fuel tank, mounting straps, and sending unit were replaced in March 2026.
