This 2010 Porsche 911 GT3 RS is one of 541 examples built for the US market during a two-year production run, and it was modified between 2022-2024 by Shark Werks of Fremont, California, with a 4.1-liter flat-six, custom gearing for the six-speed manual transaxle, a Guard limited-slip differential, carbon ceramic brakes, RSS rear links, and a custom exhaust with Cargraphic headers. The car is finished in Gray Black over Black leather and Alcantara, and features include the Sound Package Plus, red 19″ center-lock wheels, a roll bar, a Function First shifter, bi-xenon headlights, an adjustable rear wing, RS graphics, carbon-fiber-backed seats, and air conditioning. The current owner purchased the car in 2022 and it now has 22k miles. This 997.2 GT3 RS is now offered on consignment by the selling dealer, a BaT Local Partner, with build records and a clean New York title.
The track-focused RS model features a carbon-fiber rear wing and wider quarter panels as well as model-specific side stripes and badging when compared to the standard 997 GT3. This example is finished in Gray Black (7A1) with red accents and features bi-xenon headlights, headlight washers, fog lights, LED taillights, and dual center-mounted exhaust outlets.
The red-finished 19″ center-lock wheels are mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires measuring 245/35 up front and 325/30 out back. ST carbon ceramic brakes were installed by Shark Werks along with RSS adjustable toe steer and rear link kits. The GT3 RS was factory equipped with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) featuring adjustable coilovers.
The cabin features carbon-fiber-backed sport seats upholstered in Black leather and Alcantara. Interior amenities include a CD stereo, red seat belts, a red roll bar, a Function First shifter, Rennline pedals, and air conditioning.
The Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel frames instrumentation with red dials, including a central GT3-branded tachometer with an 8,400-rpm redline, a 225-mph speedometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 22k miles, approximately 9k of which were added under current ownership.
The flat-six was modified by Shark Werks between 2022 and 2023, which included increasing displacement to 4.1-liters using an EvoSpec Stage 3 crankshaft, EvoSpec 12.5:1 compression pistons, and Carrillo connecting rods. The package further specified an Auto Verdi oil pump, Shark Werks camshafts, EvoSpec head studs, Shark Werks coolant pipes, and an EVOMS engine tune. The timing chain tensioners and guides were also replaced during this time.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle that was re-geared and modified by Shark Werks in 2024 with a custom G50 mainshaft, Cup-spec 1st and 2nd gears, close-ratio Guard SW gears, and a Guard limited-slip differential. The associated invoice is provided in the gallery. A Shark Werks muffler bypass system and Cargraphic headers were installed during the build. A lightweight flywheel was fitted in 2023.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage.
