This 1997 Mazda MX-5 Miata STO Edition was purchased by the seller in 1999, and it is powered by a replacement 1.8-liter DOHC inline-four linked with a five-speed manual transmission and a Torsen limited-slip differential. The car wears a repaint in Twilight Blue Mica, and additional features include tan leather upholstery, a tan convertible soft top, a body-color removable hardtop, 15″ Enkei wheels, a rear decklid spoiler, power windows, a CD/cassette stereo, and air conditioning. Service in April 2022 included replacing the timing belt, water pump, and power steering pump. This NA Miata shows 155k miles and is now offered with the owner’s manuals, service records, a hardtop stand, a spare cylinder head, various spare parts, and a clean Alabama title in the seller’s name.

All STO Edition examples were finished in Twilight Blue Mica, and this car has been repainted under current ownership. Exterior equipment includes a replacement tan convertible soft top with a zip-out rear glass window as well as a body-color removable hardtop, a convertible top boot, pop-up headlights, chrome door handles, painted mirror caps, a rear decklid spoiler, and a single exhaust outlet. Tears are present on the soft top, and the Carfax report lists an accident in a March 1998 entry.

The 15″ Enkei wheels are mounted with Toyo Extensa HP tires. The car is equipped with power steering, an independent double wishbone suspension, front and rear stabilizer bars, and four-wheel disc brakes. The power steering pump was replaced in April 2022.

The cabin features bucket seats upholstered in tan leather along with color-coordinated door panels as well as a black upper dashboard and center console. Interior amenities include a CD/cassette stereo, air conditioning, and power mirrors and windows.

The four-spoke steering wheel wears a cover and frames a 140-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 155k miles, approximately 130k of which were added under current ownership.

The 1.8-liter DOHC inline-four is a replacement that was reportedly installed in 2019. Additional work has included replacing the timing belt and water pump in April 2022. A strut tower brace has been installed.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a Torsen limited-slip differential. The clutch is said to have been replaced in 2015.
