This 1953 Chevrolet COE 5700 is a two-ton cab-over-engine dually rollback car hauler that was customized under prior ownership with the installation of a motorhome chassis, a custom aluminum rollback car-hauling bed, and a 350ci V8 linked to a TH400 three-speed automatic transmission. Finished in yellow and black over gray cloth upholstery, the truck is equipped with front air suspension, power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes, power steering, 19.5″ dually wheels, shaved door handles, frenched headlights, dual side steps, dual auxiliary fuel tanks, and aftermarket instrumentation. This COE rollback was purchased by the seller in 2026 and is now offered with a California title in the seller’s name.

The Cab-Over-Engine body was refinished in yellow and black in 2022. Custom bodywork includes shaved door handles, door poppers, frenched headlight buckets, plated side steps, dual side mirrors, running boards, and dual auxiliary fuel tanks with individual pumps. The headlights do not work. The pictured pickup truck on the rollback is not included in the sale.

An aluminum rollback bed operated by a Smittybilt XRC 9,500-lb winch is fitted.

The polished 19.5″ steel wheels are wrapped in 225/70 Advanta tires. The cab and flatbed sit on a modified 1977 Itasca motorhome frame featuring an independent front suspension and rear leaf springs with air bags at all four corners. The truck is further equipped with power steering and power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes.

The custom-cab interior features a bench seat upholstered in gray cloth with color-coordinated door panels. Interior appointments include an aftermarket floor shifter, crank windows, a cabin heater, a glovebox, seatbelts, and aftermarket speakers.

Aftermarket instrumentation is. The digital odometer shows 5,700 miles, approximately 300 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.

The 350ci V8 was installed in 2022 and is equipped with an Edelbrock carburetor and an open-element air cleaner. The seller notes that an accessory belt squeaks upon startup.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a TH400 three-speed automatic transmission.

The California title carries a Commercial notation and utilizes the serial number shown above. The serial number decodes as a 5700 2-Ton Cab-Over-Engine (U), made in 1953 (53) and the Kansas City (K) assembly plant.
