This 1973 BMW Bavaria underwent a refurbishment in 1989 that included the installation of a replacement 3.3-liter M30 inline-six. It rides on 16″ BBS-style gold wheels with polished lips and has been further modified with Cibie driving lamps, a Sony CD stereo, a K40 radar detector, and a Clifford alarm system. The blue-over-beige sedan also features a four-speed manual transmission, four-wheel disc brakes, power windows, and air conditioning. This E3 Bavaria is was acquired by the selling dealer, a BaT Local Partner, in 2026, and it is now offered in Indiana with tools, factory literature, refurbishment and service records, and a Colorado title.
The car was repainted in dark blue during the refurbishment, and the bumpers were also rechromed at that time. Equipment includes upgraded headlights, Cibie driving lamps, side marker lamps, 3.3 S decklid badging, and a textured tail panel.
The 16″ BBS-style wheels feature gold centers, machined lips, and roundel center caps, and they are mounted with 225/50 front and 245/45 rear Pirelli P Zero Rosso tires. Braking is provided by power-assisted discs at all four corners.
The front seats and rear bench were retrimmed in beige leather during the refurbishment, and black square-weave carpets line the floors. Wood trim accents the dashboard and door panels, and amenities include power windows, air conditioning, a Sony CD stereo, a K40 radar detector, a Clifford alarm system, a VDO clock, front shoulder belts, and rear lap belts.
The leather-wrapped MOMO steering wheel frames a 140-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 98k miles, though total mileage is unknown.
The retrofitted 3.3-liter M30B33V inline-six was installed during the refurbishment, and it features a polished valve cover and a BMW-logo air cleaner. A red-top Optima battery has been installed.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.
Serial number stamping 3105151 is presented above, and it is consistent with a 1973 Bavaria. The reproduction body plate lists the car as a 3.3 S.
