This 1997 Porsche 911 Carrera remained registered in California until it was sold on BaT in April 2024, and it was subsequently relocated to Ontario, Canada, before returning to the US and being sold again on BaT in May 2026. The car was optioned from the factory with a six-speed manual transaxle, which is linked with a 3.6-liter flat-six and a limited-slip differential. Further details include Guards Red paintwork, the Motor Sound Package, a black soft top, 17″ Cup II wheels, a wind deflector, Cashmere Beige leather upholstery, power-adjustable front seats, a CD stereo, Bilstein dampers, European-style taillight lenses, a “basket handle” rear spoiler, cruise control, and air conditioning. Approximately $10k in service work carried out in preparation for the sale has included replacing the convertible top, rear brake pads and rotors, battery, and various belts. Recently acquired by the selling dealer, this 993 Carrera cabriolet is offered at no reserve by 1600veloce, a BaT Local Partner, with owner’s manuals, tool and tire-inflation kits, a clean Carfax report, and a New York title.
The car is finished in Guards Red and was fitted with a power-retractable black soft top in 2026. Braking is handled by Porsche-branded calipers over cross-drilled rotors, and the car is equipped with Bilstein dampers. Service in March 2024 included replacing the tires and flushing the brake fluid, while the rear brake pads and rotors were replaced in 2026.
The power-adjustable front seats are upholstered in Cashmere Beige leather and are accompanied by a color-coordinated center console, door panels, rear seats, and carpeting. Additional appointments include air conditioning, cruise control, a CDR-210 stereo, and an eight-speaker sound system. The alarm was disabled under previous ownership, and the air conditioning system was recharged in preparation for the sale.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation consisting of a central tachometer with a 6,800-rpm redline along with a 180-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and gauges for oil pressure, oil temperature, oil level, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 35k miles, approximately 20 of which were added under current ownership.
The air-cooled 3.6L M64 flat-six features a VarioRam intake system and was factory rated at 282 horsepower and 250 lb-ft of torque. The car was optioned with the Motor Sound Package, which added a revised intake and mufflers. Work in 2026 included replacing the battery as well as the fan, alternator, and air conditioning belts.
