This 1993 Ferrari 348 TS is number 90 of 100 Serie Speciale examples that were produced exclusively for the US market. It was first delivered to Ferrari of Beverly Hills in California and was registered in that state and Texas before the car was sold on BaT in June 2022, relocated to Florida, and recently acquired by its current owner. Finished in Rosso Corsa over beige Connolly leather, the vehicle is powered by a 3.4-liter DOHC V8 paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes a removable roof panel, 18″ Speedline magnesium wheels, a limited-slip differential, F40-style carbon-Kevlar seats, an Alpine CD stereo, a gated shifter, and power accessories. Showing 44k miles, this 348 Serie Speciale is offered on dealer consignment in Illinois with a window sticker, owner’s manuals, a luggage set, two keys, a tool and spares kit, a car cover, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Florida title.
Each Serie Speciale version of the 348 featured a redesigned front lip spoiler, a body-color rear deck lid and rocker panels, and restyled taillight treatment. This example is finished in Rosso Corsa and is one of 65 that were equipped with a removable roof panel. It also has pop-up headlights, fog lights, power-adjustable side mirrors, side air intakes, and quad exhaust outlets.
Refinished Speedline 18″ five-spoke magnesium wheels are mounted with 225/50 front and 265/40 rear Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S tires. The Serie Speciale featured a rear track that measured 50 millimeters wider than that of the standard 348. Braking is provided by Ferrari-branded calipers over ventilated discs along with an anti-lock system.
Factory adjustable F40-style carbon-Kevlar sport seats are upholstered in beige Connolly leather and are accompanied by a color-coordinated center console and door-panel inserts. Additional appointments include a dogleg-pattern gated shifter, a heated rear window, drilled aluminum pedals, an Alpine CD stereo, air conditioning, and power windows and door locks. The air conditioning system has been serviced since the 2022 auction. Each 348 Serie Speciale featured an individually numbered plate in the passenger door jamb.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames Veglia Borletti instrumentation consisting of a 200-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 7,500-rpm redline, and gauges for coolant temperature and oil pressure. Additional gauges for oil temperature and fuel level are housed in the center stack. A check engine light remains illuminated after startup. The six-digit odometer shows 44k miles, approximately 100 of which have been added under current ownership.
The 3.4-liter quad-cam Tipo F119 V8 features Bosch Motronic engine management and was factory rated at 312 horsepower and 238 lb-ft of torque. A timing-belt service is said to have been carried out in 2003, and a replacement battery was installed in 2025.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential with a shorter final-drive ratio than the standard 348. The clutch was reportedly replaced at 35k miles. The catalytic converters have been removed.
The window sticker lists initial delivery to Ferrari of Beverly Hills in California, factory colors and equipment, and a total suggested retail price of $117,700.
