Original-Owner 1985 Ford Mustang GT Hatchback 5-Speed

This 1985 Ford Mustang GT is a Bright Red-over-Canyon Red hatchback that was specified with a five-speed manual transmission and was purchased new by the seller. Power is from a 302ci Windsor V8, and equipment includes a Traction-Lok limited-slip differential, the Light/Convenience Group, the Power Lock Group, a removable sunroof, 15” Center Line eight-hole wheels, a Kenwood cassette stereo, and air conditioning. This Fox-body Mustang GT is now offered with a window sticker, a build sheet, a clean Carfax report, and a Florida title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in Bright Red (2R) with a black hood stripe and features a removable sunroof, a single-wing rear spoiler, Marchal fog-light covers, black trim, and smoked taillight lenses. Photos depicting the condition of the body are presented in the gallery.

The 15” Center Line eight-hole wheels are mounted with Milestar Streetsteel tires. Braking is handled by front discs and rear drums.

The cabin features seating surfaces upholstered in Canyon Red cloth with matching door panels. Amenities include articulated front sport seats, a Kenwood cassette stereo, a tilting steering column, power windows and locks, and air conditioning. A Cobra sticker is affixed to the dash. Stained upholstery is depicted in the gallery, and the heater does not work.

The three-spoke steering wheel frames a tachometer and auxiliary gauges. The coolant temperature gauge does not work. The seller tells us that the 140-mph speedometer was installed shortly after the car was originally purchased, and the five-digit odometer shows 73k miles.

The 302ci Windsor V8 was factory rated at 210 horsepower and 265 lb-ft of torque.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a Traction-Lok limited-slip differential.

The window sticker lists initial delivery to Atchinson Ford in Belleville, Michigan, as well as factory equipment, colors, and a total price of $12,817.

The Carfax report is free from accidents or other reported damage.

The current Florida title is listed as a duplicate.
