This 1978 Chevrolet El Camino Conquista was acquired by the seller’s father via a dealer trade to his dealership, Wood Chevrolet in Plumville, Pennsylvania, and was subsequently fitted with a 350ci V8 block. Finished in two-tone tan over Camel Tan vinyl, the vehicle was gifted to the seller in 2016. Equipment includes a three-speed automatic transmission and 14″ steel wheels with full covers as well as power steering and a push-button AM/FM radio. This El Camino is offered at no reserve with initial purchase documents, manufacturer’s literature, and an Ohio title in the seller’s name.

The pickup is finished in two-tone tan and features a front air dam, a left-side mirror, chrome bumpers, and mudflaps. The chrome finish on the left side of the grille is peeling.

The 14″ steel wheels feature full covers and were mounted with 205/75 Uniroyal Tiger Paw AWP II tires in 2016. The vehicle is equipped with power steering, and braking is provided by power-assisted front discs and rear drums. The seller says that the rear air shocks leak.

The bench seat is upholstered in Camel Tan vinyl, and interior appointments include a push-button AM/FM radio, a cabin heater, and manual-crank windows. The dashboard is cracked, the carpeting is worn, and the chrome finish on the left door panel trim is peeling.

The two-spoke steering wheel is worn and frames a sweeping 85-mph speedometer and a fuel level gauge. The five-digit odometer has rolled over and shows 15k miles, approximately 4k of which were added under current ownership.

The car was equipped from the factory with a 305ci V8, and the seller says that a 350ci V8 block was installed along with replacement wiring in the early 2000s, while the 305ci cylinder heads were retained. The battery was replaced in August 2025.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission, and the pan gasket was reportedly changed in 2022. There is some corrosion on the undercarriage, additional photos of which are provided in the gallery below.
The Ohio title carries an “Exceeds Mechanical Limits” mileage brand.
