Sometimes, orange cats seem to function with a single brain cell…
I don’t know what it is about them, but for some reason they seem to be the craziest of all the colors. I, for one, have never seen a grey cat or a tuxedo cat doing what an orange does; they’re built differently. All those videos about orange furbabies doing all kinds of mischief should be mandatory to watch for every person looking to adopt an orange.
I’ve never had an orange cat myself; mine have been mostly grey, and now I have a tuxedo cat. But my neighbour has an orange. I swear, he’s the most beautiful fluffy pumpkin out there, but he also has some issues… He seems to have two different purrsonalities. During the day, he’s all shy and demure, not wanting to leave his house and barely daring to interact with any other living creature. But at night, he becomes a gangster. I’ve seen him trespassing in my front yard in the middle of the night, and I’ve been woken up at 3 AM because he goes out there and meows loudly enough for the entire neighborhood to hear. Seriously, I’m sure he would even answer to two different names if you called him. During the day he could be Pumpkin, or Furball. But at night, he’s Jack, the Orange Rockstar. I don’t know if my neighbor knows about her cat’s escapades during the night, and I’m debating whether to tell her or let the little chap continue with his Batman-style fantasy. I guess as long as he’s happy and safe, I can let it go on.
All of this to say that, no matter whether you’re used to having cats or not, oranges will always be a special kind of crazy. And these memes are a perfect example of what we mean when we say: orange cat behavior!
