This 2002 Audi S4 Avant was acquired by the seller in 2024 and subsequently modified with the installation of a six-speed manual transaxle, Rotomaster K03 turbocharger cartridges, and Kayser 710N diverter valves. Additional work involved overhauling the suspension and brake system as well as replacing the timing belt, water pump, thermostat, and various seals and gaskets. Finished in Nogaro Blue Pearl Effect over Onyx Silk Nappa leather, the car is powered by a twin-turbocharged 2.7-liter V6 that turns all four wheels through a Quattro all-wheel-drive system. It rides on 17″ Avus six-spoke alloy wheels and is further equipped with the Cold Weather and Premium Packages along with a sunroof, xenon headlights, heated power-adjustable front seats, automatic climate control, and a Bose sound system. This B5 S4 Avant is now offered with partial service records, spare parts, an accident-free Carfax report, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in Nogaro Blue Pearl Effect (LZ5M) and features S4-specific bumpers and side skirts in addition to a power sunroof, aluminum roof rails, xenon headlights, fog lights, a rear window wiper, and dual exhaust outlets. The front bumper cover has been repainted, and the seller states that the rear hatch key cylinder does not work. Scratches, scuffs, and worn windshield trim are noted.

The 17″ Avus six-spoke alloy wheels have been refinished and are wrapped in 225/45 Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 tires with 2017 date codes. The car rides on Bilstein shock absorbers, and stopping power is provided by four-wheel cross-drilled and slotted disc brakes with ABS and Electronic Differential Lock (EDL) traction control. Service under current ownership included replacing the ABS speed sensor, struts, tie rods, sway bar end links, front upper and lower control arms, and brake pads and rotors.

The heated power-adjustable front sport seats and the split-folding rear bench are upholstered in Onyx Silk Nappa leather, and gray birdseye maple trim accents the cabin. Amenities include automatic climate control, a Bose sound system, a CD/cassette stereo, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror with an integrated compass. The headliner and A-pillars have been retrimmed in Alcantara, and the first aid kit and storage door are missing.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts a central multifunction display flanked by a tachometer, a 170-mph speedometer, and gauges for oil temperature, coolant temperature, fuel level, and voltage. The driver’s airbag was replaced in 2022 as part of a safety recall. The digital odometer indicates 182k miles, approximately 7k of which have been added under current ownership. A mileage inconsistency is listed on the Carfax report in October 2024, although the report notes it may be the result of a clerical error.

The twin-turbocharged 2.7-liter V6 has five valves per cylinder and was factory rated at 250 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. Work under current ownership involved retrofitting Rotomaster K03 turbocharger cartridges, Kayser 710N diverter valves, a K&N air intake filter, an ECS Tuning snub mount, and an 034Motorsport throttle body boot and engine and transaxle mounts. The following components were also replaced:
- Timing belt, tensioner, damper, rollers, & seals
- Water pump & thermostat w/metal housing
- Camshaft seals
- Front & rear main seals
- Upper coolant hose O-ring & lower hose
- Heater core connectors
- Valve cover gaskets
- Inlet pipe O-rings
- Exhaust manifold & downpipe gaskets
- Turbocharger coolant & oil line gaskets
- Coolant temperature & lower-temperature after-run sensors
Photos of compression test readouts are viewable in the gallery below.

The factory five-speed automatic transaxle was removed and replaced with a six-speed 01E manual transaxle under current ownership, at which time a TTV Racing steel flywheel, a Luk clutch, and a steel-braided clutch line were also installed. Power is sent to all four wheels through a Quattro all-wheel-drive system with a Torsen center differential. The fluids have been changed, and rust is noted on the fuel tank strap.
The Carfax report shows the aforementioned mileage inconsistency.
