This 1991 Harley-Davidson Sturgis is one of 1,600 units built to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Black Hills Rally held in Sturgis, South Dakota, and this example was purchased new by its current owner—five-time SCORE International Baja 1000 Trophy Truck overall winner “Lightning” Larry Ragland. Finished in black with orange accents, the bike is powered by an air-cooled 82ci Evolution V-twin paired with a five-speed transmission. It also has a drive belt, an electric starter, a two-into-two exhaust system, disc brakes, cast alloy wheels, a stepped two-up seat, a passenger backrest, highway pegs, and a side stand. Work in November 2021 is said to have involved flushing the fuel tank, rebuilding the carburetor, and changing the engine and transmission oils. Now showing 3k miles, this FXDB is offered by the seller on behalf of the owner at no reserve with factory literature, a copy of the original bill of sale, Harley-Davidson-branded accessories, and an Arizona title in the owner’s name.

The motorcycle is finished in black with orange Sturgis graphics. Features include a stepped two-up seat, a passenger backrest, saddlebag mounts, folding highway pegs, and a side stand. The seller notes a ding in the fuel tank along with scratches on the bottom of the rear fender and exhaust system.

Cast alloy wheels measuring 19″ up front and 16″ out back have orange rim stripes and are mounted with Dunlop tires that are not known to have been replaced. Suspension consists of a telescopic fork in addition to a pair of shocks attached to the swingarm. Braking is handled by front and rear discs.

The tank-top console houses a 120-mph speedometer and an 8k-rpm tachometer, and the left-side dummy filler cap houses a fuel gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 3k miles.

A tag on the headlight cover contains indicator lights and lists the bike as “1990 Sturgis Anniversary” Vehicle Number 84 of 1,600.

The air-cooled 82ci Evolution V-twin features a black finish with accents specific to the Sturgis model, and it was factory rated at 53 horsepower and 62 lb-ft of torque. The seller notes that the fuel tank was flushed in November 2021, at which time the carburetor was rebuilt and the oil was changed. The battery was replaced in July 2026.

Power is delivered to the rear wheel via a five-speed transmission and a drive belt. The transmission fluid was changed in November 2021.

An owner’s manual, a copy of the original bill of sale, and Harley-Davidson-branded accessories are included in the sale.
