This 1997 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra coupe is a non-running project that has a Vortech-Supercharged 4.6-liter V8, an MMR short block with forged internals, a Tremec T-56 six-speed manual transmission, and a 2003 Cobra-sourced independent suspension rear end. Finished in Rio Red over black cloth upholstery, the car also features a rear seat delete kit, Recaro Cobra R front bucket seats, aftermarket headlights, long-tube exhaust headers, Flowmaster mufflers, Eibach lowering springs, Bilstein B6 series shocks, Prothane suspension bushings, Maximum Motorsports IRS sway bar end links, and Steeda front ball joints. Acquired by the seller in 2018, the car has reportedly not run since 2025. This Mustang SVT Cobra coupe project is now offered at no reserve with service records, spare parts, and a clean Texas title in the seller’s name.

The SVT Cobra featured Cobra-logo fender badges and a revised front bumper cover when compared to the contemporary Mustang GT. This example is finished in Rio Red Tinted Clearcoat and features fog lights, hood vents, a rear spoiler, and dual exhaust outlets. Paint and body blemishes are displayed in the gallery.

Black-finished 17″ Cobra-style wheels are mounted with staggered-width Nitto NT555 G2 tires. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes with Cobra-branded front calipers. A Cobra-sourced independent rear suspension is installed along with Eibach lowering springs, Bilstein B6 series shocks, Prothane bushings, Maximum Motorsports IRS sway bar end links, and Steeda ball joints.

The Recaro Cobra R bucket seats are trimmed in black cloth upholstery and a rear seat delete kit is installed. Interior amenities include a short-throw shifter, a Pioneer CD stereo, a GPS HUD display, dual front airbags, cruise control, air conditioning, and power accessories.

The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,800-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature, voltage, oil pressure, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer is disconnected and shows 62k miles, approximately 1k of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.

A 4.6-liter MMR short block with a forged rotating assembly is fitted and the Vortech V1 supercharger was rebuilt. The engine has not run in a year and the seller notes that the fuel system will need to be drained and cleaned, the battery will need to be replaced, and the vehicle will need to be re-tuned.

The car is equipped with a Tremec T-56 six-speed manual transmission and a Traction-Lok limited-slip differential. The exhaust system has long-tube headers and Flowmaster mufflers that terminate at the rear axle.
The Carfax report is free of accident or damage entries.
