This 1992 BMW 325i Convertible was ordered new with the M-Technic Appearance Package, and it received a 3.5-liter M30 inline-six under previous ownership along with E23 745i turbocharger components, a front-mounted intercooler, a Getrag 260/5 five-speed manual transmission, Ground Control coilovers, a UUC Motorwerks big brake kit, multi-piece 17″ Alpina-style wheels, a Z3-specification steering rack, European-style headlights, and a custom audio system. The car was sold on BaT in July 2020, after which the clutch was replaced and a Blaupunkt Bluetooth stereo was fitted before the car was listed on BaT in October 2024 and subsequently acquired by the current owner. Finished in Alpine White with a replacement black soft top over reupholstered Lotus White leather, the car now shows 201k miles. This E30 convertible is offered on dealer consignment with a tool kit, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Georgia title.

The car is finished in Alpine White and features the M-Technic Appearance Package, which added extended rocker covers and revised front and rear fascias. The front and rear bumpers were repainted circa 2008, and a manually operated convertible top frame was installed under prior ownership. Equipment includes a black soft top that was fitted under current ownership along with a fiberglass front lip spoiler, European-market “Smiley” ellipsoid headlights with 6000k HID low beams, European headlight grilles, smoked side marker lights, and Shadowline trim. A paint correction and paintless dent repair were performed in preparation for the sale, and there is paint cracking on the front valance, chipping on the trim, and an inoperable power antenna mast.

The 17″ multi-piece wheels wear 215/40 Falken Azenis tires, and they feature polished lips and barrels as well as Alpina-logo center caps. A UUC Motorsports big brake kit with blue-finished calipers was fitted under previous ownership with vented rotors, stainless-steel lines were added, and suspension modifications include:
- Ground Control coilovers with 450lb front and 650lb rear springs
- Z3 steering rack
- M3 offset control arm bushings
- Koni short body shocks
- K-Mac front camber and caster plates
- Garagistic reinforced front and rear subframes

Inside, the car has manually adjustable front sport seats that were reupholstered in Lotus White leather and fitted with new foam and heating elements. The rear seats were also reupholstered under prior ownership. Additional equipment includes R12 air conditioning, a Z4 shift lever, leather shifter and emergency brake boots with tricolor stitching, keyless entry, a Raceland wind deflector, and M-Technic seat badges and door seals. A Blaupunkt Bremen SQR 46 DAB Bluetooth head unit is connected to Exile 4×100 and 1×100 amplifiers as well as Exile mids and tweeters. The intermittent wiper function is inoperable, and two leather panels on the driver’s seat and rear seat were repaired since the prior auction.

A re-covered M-Technic II steering wheel fronts a 150-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer, along with gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. A boost gauge was added in place of the factory fuel economy meter, a George Graves stealth wideband O2 display is situated above the stereo head unit, and a digital voltmeter was added to the factory check panel under previous ownership. VDO gauges in the center console measure oil temperature, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The six-digit odometer shows 201k miles, approximately 500 of which were added under current ownership.

The 3.5-liter M30B35 was reportedly sourced from a 1991 535i in 2010, and it was with turbocharging hardware from an E23 745i in 2016. The oil was changed and a replacement valve cover gasket was installed in January 2023. Additional modifications include:

The factory automatic transmission was replaced with a Getrag 260/5 five-speed manual transmission that mates to the engine with an E28 M5-specification flywheel, clutch, and pressure plate. Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a 2.93 limited-slip differential. A replacement clutch kit, rear main seal, and input shaft seal were installed in January 2023.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other reported damage.
