This 1946 Studebaker M15A is a one-ton pickup that was purchased by the current owner in 1997, reportedly from the son of the original owner. It was subsequently refurbished, and it is refinished finished in orange-red metallic over black vinyl upholstery. The truck is powered by a 170ci Champion inline-six linked to a floor-shifted four-speed manual transmission and further equipped with 20″ steel wheels, an express pickup bed with a custom canvas caravan top, a tow ball hitch, and a dash-mounted backup camera. This Studebaker pickup is now offered by the seller, a BaT Local Partner, on behalf of the current owner with a clean Nevada title in the owner’s name.

The truck was refinished in orange-red metallic during the aforementioned refurbishment. It features a C9 cab with a swing-type split windshield and metal door panels. The sheet-metal express pickup bed has a wood plank bed floor and is covered with a custom canvas caravan top mounted over an aluminum frame, which is said to have been fabricated in the Nevada State Prison vocational shop using archival factory drawings. Additional exterior details include dual windshield wipers, painted bumpers, a tow ball hitch, and running boards. Cracks are visible on the windshield and vent windows, and additional blemishes around the truck are shown in the gallery.

The heavy-duty 20″ steel wheels are mounted with 20×7.5″ Denman tires. Stopping power is provided by front and rear drum brakes.

The bench seat is upholstered in black vinyl, but has split seams. The headliner and sun visors are trimmed to match. Additional equipment includes a painted metal dashboard, a turn signal indicator, and a dash-mounted backup camera.

The two-spoke steering wheel fronts a horizontal 100-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges for amperage, fuel level, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer is illegible, and total mileage is unknown.

The 170ci Champion inline-six was factory rated at 68 horsepower. It is said to have been rebuilt, and it has a 6-volt Optima RedTop battery.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a floor-shifted four-speed manual transmission.
The Nevada title utilizes the engine number as the VIN, 2M5466.
