This 1962 International Harvester Scout 80 was initially delivered to the St. Louis sales district, and it spent 49 years with its longtime previous owner before its 2026 acquisition by the seller. Repainted in green over black vinyl-trimmed Bestop front bucket and rear bench seats, the truck is powered by a 152ci inline-four mated to a three-speed manual transmission and a twin-stick dual-range transfer case. It also has dual mirrors, a Scout 800-sourced tailgate and doors, manually locking front hubs, 16″ steel wheels, a walk-through bulkhead conversion, bedliner-finished floors, and crank windows. This Scout 80 is offered with a copy of a line-setting ticket, a Scout 800-sourced hardtop, and a California title in the name of the seller’s spouse that describes the truck as a 1963 model.

The seller tells us that the truck was fitted with a Scout 800-specification tailgate and doors with crank windows under previous ownership, and it received an August 2026 repaint in green after it was fitted with replacement rocker panels and front fenders. The grille emblem, windshield, windshield seal, bumpers, and exterior trim components were replaced in September 2026, and the truck also features replacement stripes, dual mirrors, and fender emblems. The windshield wiper motor, windshield wipers, and door lock cylinders have been removed.

Steel 16″ wheels are mounted with older Firestone tires. Stopping power is from four-wheel drum brakes, and the truck is equipped with manually locking front hubs.

The Bestop front bucket seats and rear bench seat are trimmed in black. The dashboard has been repainted, and spray-on bedliner material has been applied to the floors. The truck is equipped with a walk-through bulkhead conversion.

The four-spoke steering wheel has visible cracks, and it fronts an inoperative 80-mph speedometer and a combination gauge with readouts for coolant temperature and fuel level. The seller reports that the speedometer cable is broken. The five-digit odometer shows 17k miles and is inaccurate according to the seller. Total mileage is unknown.

The 152ci inline-four is equipped with a single-barrel carburetor, and it produced 93 horsepower and 143 lb-ft of torque when new. Power is routed to the rear or all four wheels through a three-speed manual transmission and a twin-stick dual-range transfer case. The engine compartment has been painted satin black, and the heater ducts are missing.

Corrosion is noted on various underbody components. Additional underside photos can be viewed in the gallery below.

A white-finished Scout 800-specification hardtop is included in the sale.

A copy of the line-setting ticket lists factory equipment and serial numbers along with initial delivery to the St. Louis sales district.
