This 1964 Chevrolet Corvette convertible underwent refurbishment work in the late 1990s that involved installing a 327ci V8 and refinishing the interior and exterior in red. It previously spent approximately three decades under the care of one family and was offered on BaT in July 2023 before it was acquired by the current owner on BaT in December 2023. Shifting is through a four-speed manual transmission, and the car is equipped with a white soft top, 15″ steel wheels, an AM/FM radio, and a Holley carburetor. This C2 convertible is now offered on consignment by the selling dealer, a BaT Local Partner, at no reserve with manufacturer’s literature, refurbishment records, and a Texas title.

Finished from the factory in Silver Blue (912), the fiberglass bodywork was repainted red as part of the aforementioned refurbishment work, and the bumpers were re-chromed at that time. Features include a white soft top, flip-up headlamps, fender vents, and quad taillights. Chips in the paint around the soft top cover are noted.

Silver-finished 15” steel wheels wear spinner-style covers and are mounted with thin-whitewall tires. The selling dealer reports that the drum brakes are weak and should be inspected.

Refreshed in 1999, the cabin houses bucket seats trimmed in red vinyl as well as color-matching carpets and door panels. Appointments include a heater, an AM/FM radio, and lap belts. The selling dealer notes that the analog clock was disconnected to resolve a battery drain.

The three-spoke steering wheel frames a restored cluster with a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, amperage, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 10k miles, which is said to represent the miles traveled since the refurbishment was completed in 1999. Approximately 1k miles have been added under current ownership.

The replacement 327ci V8 was installed in 1997 and is equipped with an Edelbrock air cleaner assembly, a Holley carburetor, a Speed Pro camshaft, and flat-top pistons. A replacement exhaust system was also installed in 1997.

The engine is backed by a four-speed manual transmission.
