350-Powered 1993 Volvo 240 Wagon

This 1993 Volvo 240 wagon was purchased in 2022 as a non-running project by the seller, who subsequently assembled and installed a 350ci V8 and a rebuilt 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission. The car rides on Corsa GT 123 steelie-style 16″ wheels and BC Racing adjustable coilovers, and further equipment includes iPd suspension components, a custom exhaust system, four-wheel disc brakes, MSD ignition, and an Edelbrock carburetor atop a performance intake manifold. The body is finished in Silver Gray and has black trim and moldings, and the cabin is outfitted with heated black leather bucket seats, power windows, a Kenwood CD stereo, and Auto-gage instrumentation. This V8-powered 240 wagon is now offered with a clean New York title in the seller’s name.

The body left the factory finished in Silver Gray (177) with black window trim, side moldings, and mirror caps, and the seller notes that the car retains its factory paint finish. Further elements include a front spoiler, mudguards, a rear window wiper, HID headlights, tinted windows, and replacement rear taillight assemblies. Rust is noted under the taillights, along the left-rear rocker panel, and on the pinch welds.

Suspension modifications consist of BC Racing adjustable coilovers at all four corners as well as a 240 diesel-specification front sway bar, iPd adjustable rear upper trailing arms, replacement lower trailing arms, and an iPd adjustable Panhard bar.

Corsa GT 123 steelie-style wheels are fitted with chrome V-logo center caps and Falken Azenis tires. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel discs with drilled and slotted rotors, aftermarket pads, and rebuilt calipers. The vehicle is equipped with factory power steering.

The cabin features heated front bucket seats and a folding rear bench upholstered in black leather accompanied by color-keyed carpets and door panels. Amenities include power windows, power-adjustable mirrors, a heater, and a Kenwood CD stereo with Bluetooth capability. A patch repair is present on the driver seat bottom cushion, and the rear seat backrest release handle is missing.

The four-spoke airbag steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The factory tachometer and coolant temperature gauge in the cluster are not functional, and dual Auto-gage instruments for oil pressure and coolant temperature are mounted in the center stack. A modified fog light switch to the left of the steering wheel serves as a manual lockup for the torque converter. The nonfunctional odometer shows 299k miles, and the total mileage is unknown. The Carfax report lists a mileage inconsistency in an August 2026 entry.

The 350ci V8 was installed under current ownership and features 383 Stroker-branded valve covers, aluminum cylinder heads, an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, a performance intake manifold, MSD ignition components, and an IPD engine mount kit. A CVF Racing billet serpentine drive system was also specified during the build, and cooling is handled by a C2 Corvette-style radiator with an electric fan. Various under-hood air conditioning components have not been installed.

The seller notes that the 700R4 automatic transmission utilizes a 1,900–2,200-rpm stall speed torque converter and a replacement flexplate. The custom two-piece driveshaft has a replacement hanger bearing and U-joints, and it is linked to a 3.73:1 rear axle. Ram horn-style manifolds are linked to a custom X-pipe exhaust system with MagnaFlow mufflers.

The Carfax report lists the aforementioned mileage inconsistency along with no accidents or damage reported.
