5.3L-Powered 1965 International Harvester Scout 80 4×4

This 1965 International Harvester Scout 80 was refurbished between 2023 and 2026 and is powered by a 5.3-liter V8 linked to a rebuilt 4L60E four-speed automatic transmission, a twin-stick NP241C dual-range transfer case, and Dana axles with 3.73:1 gearing. Finished in black over black leather upholstery, the truck is equipped with a Softopper canvas top, a long-arm suspension lift, remote-reservoir coilovers, hydroboost four-wheel disc brakes, 18″ Vision Se7en wheels, heated front seats, and SpeedHut GPS instrumentation. This Scout 80 is offered with a clean Washington title in the seller’s name.

The body has been refinished in black and is equipped with a black Softopper soft top, LED headlights and taillights, and rock sliders. The bumpers, headlight bezels, Scout emblems, side mirrors, and window frames are powder-coated black, and the fuel filler cap is concealed behind a hinged rear license plate mount.

Black 18″ Vision Se7en wheels are mounted with 35×12.5″ Terrain Attack tires. A long-arm suspension setup has been fitted, and it incorporates a 3-link front and triangulated 4-link rear configuration with remote-reservoir coilovers. Steering is managed via a Super Drop power steering box with a RockJock swaybar and QA1 tie rod ends. Stopping power is provided by hydroboost-assisted drilled and slotted four-wheel disc brakes and a Wilwood master cylinder.

The front bucket seats and rear bench are trimmed in black leather with diamond-stitched inserts. The tub has been treated with spray-in bedliner, and additional features include heated front seats, a powder-coated family-style roll cage, a lockable Tuffy center console with USB charging ports, and a custom rear storage box.

An aftermarket steering wheel is mounted to an Ididit tilt column and sits ahead of classic-style SpeedHut GPS gauges. The digital odometer shows 480 miles.

The 5.3-liter V8 was removed from a Chevrolet Silverado and was installed in 2024. It features a 92mm billet throttle body, a FiTech aluminum intake manifold, billet fuel rails, and a standalone FiTech ECU and wiring harness. Cooling is supplied by a Champion aluminum radiator with integrated electric fans. Fuel delivery is handled by an Aeromotive in-tank pump drawing from a 19-gallon Boyd fuel tank.

Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a rebuilt 4L60E four-speed automatic transmission and a rebuilt twin-stick NP241C dual-range transfer case fitted with a JB Conversions super-short slip yoke eliminator.
