This 1977 Pontiac Firebird Formula was modified to resemble a Trans Am with the installation of a 6.2-liter LS3 V8 crate engine, a Tremec T56 Magnum six-speed manual transmission, Vintage Air heating and air conditioning, Dakota Digital instrumentation, and four-wheel disc brakes with a Wilwood master cylinder and calipers between 2020 and 2021, and it was acquired by the current owner in May 2022. Repainted in black over black vinyl, the car also features a shaker hood, a Be Cool radiator, electric cooling fans, long-tube exhaust headers, front and rear spoilers, 17″ snowflake-style wheels, power windows, and a JVC CD stereo with Bluetooth connectivity. Previously offered on BaT in August 2026, this Firebird Trans Am is now offered again by the seller on behalf of the owner with service records and an Arizona title in the owner’s name.

The seller tells us that the car was previously finished in yellow, and it has been repainted in black. The shaker hood wears Firebird hood graphics, and additional exterior details include a front spoiler, a rear spoiler, and dual mirrors with painted caps. The right side of the windshield is cracked, and blemishes on various surfaces are identified by the seller in the gallery below.

Snowflake-style 17″ wheels with gold-painted accents are wrapped in 275/40 Nitto NT555 G2 tires. The braking system has been fitted with braided stainless-steel hoses, cross-drilled and slotted rotors, and a Wilwood 7/8″-bore master cylinder with an adjustable proportioning valve as well as Wilwood calipers, the front of which are six-piston components.

The seats are trimmed in black vinyl, which extends to the door panels. A subwoofer has been installed under the dashboard on the passenger side, and additional appointments include Vintage Air heating and air conditioning, power windows, a center console with a cup holder, and a JVC CD stereo with Bluetooth connectivity. The passenger sun visor has detached from its mount.

The Formula steering wheel sits ahead of an engine-turned dash fascia, which houses Dakota Digital instrumentation consisting of a 160-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The digital odometer indicates 1,400 miles since the completion of the build. The seller notes that the foam on the back side of the steering shows wear.

The retrofitted 6.2-liter LS3 V8 crate engine was installed by Arizona High Test of Chandler, Arizona, in 2020. Additional under-hood equipment includes the following components:
- Aluminum intake
- 1-7/8″ long-tube headers
- Holley mid-mount front accessory drive kit
- Be Cool radiator
- Dual electric cooling fans
- Custom engine mounts

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Tremec T56 Magnum six-speed manual transmission. The exhaust system terminates just ahead of the rear axle.
