Supercharged Dart 363-Powered 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback 6-Speed

This 1965 Ford Mustang fastback was refurbished and modified in 2017. Per the seller, the build incorporates a 363ci V8 with a Dart block, Lunati steel crankshaft, H-beam connecting rods, Diamond forged pistons, CNC-machined Edelbrock aluminum cylinder heads, a custom billet roller camshaft, custom roller rockers, a ported aluminum intake manifold, Quick Fuel four-barrel carburetor, and a ProCharger supercharger. Power is routed through a Tremec T56 six-speed manual transmission with a Liberty Pro Kit and Ram clutch to a narrowed and braced Ford 9″ limited-slip rear end. Other modifications include a custom Heidts front suspension with coilovers, custom rear ladder-bar suspension with Panhard bar and coilovers, Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes, manual rack-and-pinion steering, subframe connectors, Shelby-look bodywork, and 15″ Magnum 500-style wheels. Acquired by the current owner following the build, this Mustang is now offered in Canada by the seller on behalf of its owner with Ontario registration.

The car was delivered from the factory in Honey Gold (C) and has been refinished in Silver and fitted with later-model-style side scoops, an integrated rear spoiler, and a front lip spoiler in addition to grille lights and a hood with a scoop and pins.

The chassis has been modified with a custom Heidts front suspension and crossmember, revised upper coilover mounting points, shock-tower covers and aluminum tower stiffeners, and a custom rear ladder-bar and Panhard-bar setup with coilovers. Steering is handled by a manual rack and pinion, and braking is provided by Wilwood discs at all four corners with a dual-reservoir master cylinder. An E-Stopp emergency brake is also fitted.

The 15″ Magnum 500-style steel wheels are mounted with Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/R tires.

The interior was reupholstered and includes a Shelby-style dashboard, a center console, replacement carpeting, latch-and-link belts, a Hurst shifter, custom pedals, and a custom audio system consisting of an Ultimate AM/FM/CD head unit mounted in the glove compartment, twin amplifiers, and Cerwin-Vega speakers. The battery is mounted in the trunk. Some damage is noted on the rear cabin trim.

The custom three-spoke wood-rimmed steering wheel is mounted on a tilt column and fronts the factory gauges along with a center insert containing AutoMeter instrumentation. The seller states that the 17k miles indicated is not accurate and that total mileage is unknown.

The V8 is described by the seller as a 363ci that uses a Dart block, Lunati steel crankshaft, Lunati H-beam connecting rods, Diamond forged pistons with Hellfire rings, Edelbrock CNC-machined aluminum cylinder heads, a custom-ground billet roller camshaft, custom roller rockers, and a ported aluminum intake manifold. Induction is handled by a Quick Fuel four-barrel carburetor and ProCharger supercharger with a custom air-intake system. Additional equipment includes MSD ignition, a Pro 3000 fuel system, billet aluminum pulleys, custom finned aluminum rocker covers, a Moroso sump, Flowmaster coated headers, a custom stainless-steel dual exhaust, a custom aluminum radiator with overflow bottle, shroud and electric fan, and a Powermaster alternator. The engine mounts have been repositioned lower and farther rearward.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Tremec T56 six-speed manual transmission with a Liberty Pro Kit, Ram clutch, and Quick Time scattershield. The Ford 9″ rear end has been narrowed, braced, and fitted with heavy-duty components and a limited-slip differential. A custom chromoly driveshaft and full-frame subframe connectors are also installed.

The Ontario registration acts as proof of ownership.
