This 1979 Mazda RX-7 was acquired by the seller in 2022 from the estate of its original owner after reportedly spending around 35 years stored in non-running condition. The car is powered by a replacement 1.1-liter 12A rotary equipped with FiTech fuel injection and linked to a five-speed manual transmission. Finished in Spark Yellow over brown vinyl and velour, the car features a sunroof, 13″ alloy wheels, a cassette stereo, an aluminum radiator, and an aftermarket exhaust system. This RX-7 shows 54k miles and is now offered with a Montana title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in Spark Yellow and features a sunroof, pop-up headlights, and a power antenna. Paint imperfections around the body are visible in the gallery below.

The 13″ twelve-spoke alloy wheels are mounted with 185/70 Montreal Eco-2 tires that were fitted under current ownership. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.

The bucket seats are upholstered in brown vinyl with velour inserts, and the cabin features a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Equipment includes an AM/FM/cassette stereo, a center console, and manually operated windows.

The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 130-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 7k-rpm redline as well as an analog clock and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 54k miles, approximately 1,100 of which were added under current ownership.

The replacement 1.1-liter 12A rotary was built by Defined Autoworks of Pataskala, Ohio, and is said to have been bridge ported and dynamically balanced. It is equipped with FiTech throttle-body fuel injection, an aluminum radiator, and an updated ignition system. The seller reports approximately 2k miles since the engine replacement.

Power is routed to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The clutch was replaced, and an aftermarket exhaust system has been installed.
