32-Years-Owned 1971 Norton Commando 750 Roadster

This 1971 Norton Commando 750 Roadster was acquired by its current owner in 1994, reportedly from its original owner, and it is powered by a 745cc air-cooled parallel-twin paired with a four-speed transmission. The bike is finished in yellow and features a black vinyl two-up seat, a front disc brake, 19″ wire-spoke wheels, folding passenger foot pegs, a dual exhaust system, and both center and side stands. This Commando is now offered by the seller on behalf of its owner with a clean Connecticut title in the current owner’s name.

The bodywork is finished in yellow, and features include a black vinyl two-up seat, a chrome-plated headlight shell, folding passenger foot pegs, and both center and side stands.

The 19″ wire-spoke wheels are wrapped with Avon RoadRider tires. Suspension consists of a Roadholder telescopic fork as well as dual shocks mounted to the swingarm. Braking is handled by a front disc and rear drum.

Instrumentation includes a 150-mph Smiths speedometer and a tachometer with a 7k-rpm redline mounted above the chrome headlight bucket. The five-digit odometer shows 11k miles, 5k of which have been ridden under current ownership.

The Isolastic rubber-mounted 745cc air-cooled parallel twin is equipped with dual Amal carburetors, a kick starter, and a dual exhaust system. Output was rated at 60 horsepower when new.

Power is transferred to the rear wheel through a four-speed transmission with a right-side shifter.
