38-Years-Owned 1967 Fiat 600D for the World Wildlife Fund at No Reserve

This 1967 Fiat 600D is believed to have been sold new in Northern California and fitted with a replacement water-cooled 767cc inline-four circa 1985 before being acquired by the seller, Bruce Trenery of Fantasy Junction, in 1988. Refinished in red, the car rides on 13″ Cromodora front and BBS rear wheels and is equipped with Koni shocks as well as Fiat 850–sourced front disc brakes. The engine is fitted with a Weber carburetor as well as an Abarth-style exhaust system, while shifting is through a four-speed synchromesh manual transaxle. Inside, brown vinyl–trimmed seats are accompanied by a wood-rimmed steering wheel. This 600D is now offered by the selling dealer at no reserve with an instruction book, a car cover, a collection of spare and removed parts, and a California title in the seller’s name. The total sale amount—including the BaT buyer’s fee—will be donated to the World Wildlife Fund.

The nose panel was replaced and fitted with an Abarth grille under previous ownership after the car was damaged in an accident. The car was repainted in Bright Red–a Chevrolet Corvette color–circa 1990. The bumpers have been removed, and further details include front-hinged doors, dual side mirrors, and a ventilated engine cover.

The 13” Cromodora front and BBS rear wheels are mounted with 155-width Big O and 175-width Michelin rubber, respectively. Braking is handled by Fiat 850–sourced front disc brakes, and the car rides on Koni shocks at all four corners. Work in December 2022 involved repairing the front brake calipers and replacing the hoses and pads as well as changing the rear drum brake shoes. The selling dealer recommends replacing the tires.

The front bucket seats and rear bench are trimmed in brown vinyl, which extends to the door and side panels. Further interior appointments include quarter-vent glass, hand-crank windows, door pockets, lap belts, and molded rubber floor mats. The selling dealer notes tears in the upholstery as well as various popped seams.

The wood-rimmed steering wheel is paired with a spun aluminum shift knob and fronts an 80-mph speedometer flanked by gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 62k miles, approximately 7k miles of which were added under current ownership.

A Musica Watch Veterans Car Club Brescia medallion is affixed to the dash.

The replacement 767cc inline-four is believed to have been installed circa 1985. The engine breathes through a Weber downdraft carburetor and is fitted with an Abarth-style exhaust system with ANSA-branded finishers.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed synchromesh manual transaxle.

A collection of spare and removed parts including a spare transaxle, instrument cluster, and body panels is included in the sale.

The California title carries a “Title Only” notation.

Proceeds from the sale will go to the World Wildlife Fund, a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt international non-governmental organization dedicated to environmental conservation, biodiversity protection, and sustainable development, with a mission to stop the degradation of the planet’s natural environment and build a future in which humans live in harmony with nature.
