4,900-Mile 1993 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra

This 1993 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra was purchased by the original owner along with a matching unit, both of which were intended to be gifts for his niece and nephew’s 16th birthdays following their driver’s license tests. Before the events occurred, the owner passed, and the cars were sold by his estate, from whom the selling dealer acquired them circa 2007 and sold one in 2014. This example now shows 4,900 miles and was optioned with over $2k in equipment including the Preferred Equipment Package 250A, a sunroof, Teal Metallic Clearcoat paint, Opal Grey leather-trimmed articulated front sport seats, and a power-adjustable driver’s seat. Additional details include a 302ci V8, a five-speed manual transmission, a Traction-Lok rear axle, and 17″ turbine-style alloy wheels. This Fox-body Cobra is offered in Texas by the selling dealer with an SVT Certificate of Authenticity, a window sticker, the owner’s manual, initial purchase documents, service records, a clean Carfax report, and a Florida title.

The car is finished in Teal Metallic Clearcoat (RD) and features an optional sunroof. Further exterior details include a raised rear spoiler, power-adjustable side mirrors, fog lights, Cobra badging, and polished dual exhaust tips.

The turbine-style 17″ alloy wheels are mounted with 245/45 Goodyear tires. SVT-specific suspension components included custom-valved Tokico shocks and struts along with revised springs and sway bars. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes.

Front articulated sport seats were ordered, and they are trimmed in Opal Grey leather. The Preferred Equipment Package 250A added the contents of the Power Equipment Group, air conditioning, and floor mats. A power-adjustable driver’s seat and an AM/FM/CD stereo were also optioned.

The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 140-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5,900-rpm redline as well as gauges for voltage, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 4,900 miles.

The 302ci OHV V8 features a Cobra-specific upper intake manifold and camshaft as well as a 65mm throttle body, GT40 cast-iron cylinder heads, and aluminum roller rockers. Factory-rated output was 235 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a BorgWarner T5 five-speed manual transmission paired with a Traction-Lok rear axle.

The SVT Certificate of Authenticity lists a production date of May 3, 1993 along with build #2,614 of 4,993.

The window sticker lists initial delivery to Jim Blackman Ford of Sebring, Florida, as well as factory colors, equipment, and a total of $21,408. The owner’s manual, initial purchase documents, registration documents, service records, accessories, and multiple keys are included in the sale.

The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage.

The Florida title carries an “Odometer – Actual Mileage” notation under the Remarks section.
