This 1973 BMW 2002 was purchased new in Illinois by the seller’s father-in-law, and it has remained registered in the family since. The car remained in storage for approximately 13 years before it was recommissioned between 2023 and 2025, with over $6k of work including a valve adjustment, addressing an oil leak, fluid changes, and replacing the valve cover gasket, transmission mount, driveshaft support and flex joint, tires, and assorted ignition and suspension components. Powered by a 2.0-liter M10 inline-four paired with a four-speed manual transmission, the car is finished in Verona over black Skai vinyl. Equipment includes 13″ steel wheels with polished covers, power-assisted front disc brakes, reclining front seats, and a heater. This BMW 2002 shows 71k miles and is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with manufacturer’s literature, service records, spare parts, and an Illinois title in the owner’s name.
