1995 Honda Civic VX Hatchback 5-Speed Project at No Reserve

This 1995 Honda Civic VX hatchback is a running and driving project that is finished in Frost White over gray cloth and is powered by a 1.5L D15Z1 VTEC-E inline-four paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes an aftermarket air filter, cut suspension springs, front disc brakes, 13″ alloy wheels, an aftermarket rear spoiler, a cabin heater, and crank windows. The seller purchased the car in 2016, and work the following year is said to have included replacing the timing belt, clutch, and muffler. The steering system, suspension, and brakes need to be overhauled. This Civic hatch shows 220k miles and is offered at no reserve with a car cover, spare parts, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Montana title in the seller’s name.

The body is finished in Frost White (NH538) with a carbon-look wrap on the hood. Exterior details include front window visors, VTEC SOHC quarter panel graphics, and an aftermarket rear spoiler. The windshield and driver-side mirror housing are cracked, the passenger door handle is broken, and the taillights are oxidized.

White-finished 13″ alloy wheels are mounted with Hankook Kinergy ST H735 tires. A set of studded winter tires is included in the sale. The car was factory equipped with rack-and-pinion steering, and the four-wheel double-wishbone suspension features a front strut tower brace and cut springs. Braking is provided by front discs and rear drums. The seller states that the steering system, suspension, and brakes need to be overhauled.

The bolstered front bucket seats and split-folding rear bench are upholstered in gray cloth. Appointments include a cabin heater, crank windows, and all-weather front floor mats. The air conditioning does not work, the glovebox and mirror adjustment stalks are broken, and the Bluetooth-capable Pioneer CD stereo is disconnected.

The airbag steering wheel frames a 130-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The six-digit odometer shows 220k miles, approximately 18k of which were added under current ownership. The check engine light is illuminated, and the seller tells us that it is related to an oxygen sensor issue.

The 1.5L D15Z1 VTEC-E inline-four was factory rated at 92 horsepower and features a duct-taped air filter in place of the factory airbox. The timing belt and muffler were reportedly replaced in 2017, and the most recent oil change was performed in May 2026. The air conditioning belt is disconnected, and the valve cover gasket is leaking.

Power is routed to the front wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle. The clutch was replaced in 2017. Corrosion is visible on various underside components, and additional photos are presented in the gallery.

The Carfax report is free of accidents and other reported damage.
