Modified 1965 Chevrolet C10 Stepside Pickup

This 1965 Chevrolet C10 stepside pickup was rebuilt and modified between 2015 and 2017, including the installation of a Roadster Shop chassis that incorporates boxed frame rails, power steering, AFCO coilovers, and Wilwood disc brakes. Riding on 20″ and 22″ polished Schott wheels, the truck is powered by an Oldsmobile 350ci V8 equipped with FiTech fuel injection and linked with a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission. The body was refinished in metallic burgundy, and custom touches include a front-hinged hood, recessed headlamps, molded taillights, and an oak wood bed floor. Inside, the cabin houses a bolstered bench seat that was re-trimmed in black and tan leather along with power windows, a Pioneer stereo, air conditioning, a Flaming River shifter, a Billet Specialties steering wheel, and Dakota Digital gauges. Following completion of the build, the truck was a finalist in the 2019 Goodguys Truck of the Year Late category. This C10 is now offered on consignment by the selling dealer, a BaT Local Partner, with a Pennsylvania title.

The Stepside truck was repainted in metallic burgundy and modified during the build with a forward-hinged hood with electric hydraulics, a smoothed front bumper, a custom grille, recessed headlamps, a rounded rear pan, and custom taillights molded into the rear fenders.

The Roadster Shop REVO Stage III chassis features AFCO Pro Touring adjustable coilovers, four-link rear suspension, Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes, a 1″ rear sway bar, and power rack and pinion steering. It rides on 20″ front and 22″ rear polished Schott wheels mounted with Toyo Proxes ST III tires measuring 255/45 and 305/40, respectively.

The bench seat was modified with bolsters and reupholstered in black and tan leather, and the door panels and dash were trimmed to match. Additional appointments include power windows, a Pioneer stereo, aftermarket speakers in the kick panels, Vintage Air air conditioning, billet pedals, and a Flaming River shifter.

The Billet Specialties steering wheel frames Dakota Digital gauges, including a 120-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The digital odometer indicates 218 miles.

The engine bay features a smoothed firewall and inner fenders, and it houses a 350ci V8 that was reportedly sourced from a 1971 Oldsmobile Cutlass and installed in 2015. It features FiTech fuel injection, and additional components are said to include the following:

  • Keith Black pistons w/10:1 compression
  • ARP rod bolts
  • Aluminum Offenhauser intake manifold
  • Howards hydraulic roller camshaft
  • Edelbrock cylinder heads
  • Doug’s headers

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a 700R4 four-speed automatic and a 9″ rear end with 3.70:1 gearing and 31-spline axles. An aftermarket stainless-steel dual exhaust system has been fitted.

The truck is titled using the number shown on the custom plate above. The Pennsylvania title carries a Classic Vehicle brand.
