This 1985 Honda Prelude was purchased in 1987 by the father of the seller’s friend, and it remained under the family’s care until it was acquired by the seller in 2026 and subsequently underwent a mechanical refresh. Work is said to have included performing a fuel system cleaning, converting the air conditioning system to R134a refrigerant, refreshing the rear brakes, and replacing the steering rack and pinion as well as the timing belt, serpentine belts, and thermostat for the 1.8-liter inline-four. The car is finished in Phoenix Red over gray cloth and is equipped with a five-speed manual transaxle as well as pop-up headlights, a sunroof, 13″ alloy wheels, a stereo, and front bucket seats. This Prelude shows 45k miles and is now offered at no reserve with the owner’s manuals, service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Ohio title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in Phoenix Red (R51) and features pop-up headlights, a sunroof, black-finished side moldings, and power-adjustable side mirrors. Scratches along the sides were repaired in 2000, and detailed photos of the exterior imperfections are presented in the gallery below.

The 13” alloy wheels are mounted with Kumho Solus TA11 tires. The car is equipped with four-wheel independent suspension and variable-assist power steering, and braking is handled by discs at all four corners. The steering rack and pinion, as well as the rear brake pads, rotors, and lines, were replaced in May 2026.

The front bucket seats are trimmed in gray cloth with patterned inserts, and they are complemented by a color-coordinated dash, door panels, and carpeting. Amenities include manual crank windows, a stereo, folding rear seats, and air conditioning, the latter of which is said to have been converted to use R134a refrigerant in 2026. The seller notes that the cassette player functions, but produces no sound, and the AM/FM radio is operational.

Instrumentation includes a 130-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 45k miles.

The 1.8L 12-valve inline-four is equipped with dual carburetors and was factory rated at 100 horsepower and 108 lb-ft of torque. A fuel system cleaning was performed by the seller, and additional work under current ownership has reportedly included replacing the timing belt, serpentine belts, thermostat, and battery, as well as performing an oil change and coolant flush.

Power is sent to the front wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle. The muffler is rusted.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or damage.
