This 1983 Porsche 911SC is a US-market coupe that was ordered through Porsche’s tourist delivery program. The car was registered in its previous owner’s family from 1995 until 2016, and it was acquired by the seller later that year. Specified in black over matching leather, the car was optioned with a limited-slip differential, sport shock absorbers, a sunroof, a black headliner, and a sport steering wheel with an elevated hub. Powered by a 3.0-liter flat-six paired with a five-speed manual transaxle, the car also has 16″ Fuchs alloy wheels, fog lights, front and rear spoilers, power windows, and a JVC CD stereo with Bluetooth and satellite radio connectivity. Work performed under current ownership included installing Carrera-specification timing chain tensioners, repacking the front wheel bearings, and replacing and balancing the clutch assembly along with replacing the rear main seal, firewall insulation pad, battery, sunroof seals, front wheel seals, assorted oil lines, ignition components, and more. This 911SC coupe is now offered with manufacturer’s literature, service and repair manuals, repair invoices dating from 1997, the factory tool kit, a Halon fire extinguisher, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Oregon title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in Black, and exterior equipment includes a sunroof, fog lights, a front spoiler, a rear spoiler, and dual side mirrors. Paintwork was performed on the hood under previous ownership, and the seller notes that a 2008 invoice indicates an indent was removed from the left door. The sunroof seals were replaced in 2017. Photos of paint meter readings and the exterior condition are viewable in the gallery below.

The car was optioned with sport shock absorbers, and stopping power is provided by power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes with ventilated rotors. The 16″ Fuchs wheels feature black centers, and the seller tells us that they were mounted with replacement staggered-width Continental ExtremeContact tires under 1,500 miles ago in 2019. The front wheel bearings were cleaned and repacked in 2017, and the wheel seals were replaced at that time.

The cabin features bolstered front bucket seats upholstered in black leather along with a color-coordinated dashboard, headliner, door panels, and carpets. Amenities include power windows, Phoenix Gold speakers, and a JVC CD stereo with Bluetooth and satellite radio connectivity. A Wevo shifter was installed in 2016, along with replacement sun visors and door handles, and the right door speaker cover was re-mounted in 2025, per the seller. The R12-based air conditioning system was fitted with a replacement compressor in 2017, but the system does not currently blow cold.

The leather-wrapped three-spoke sport steering wheel is mounted on an elevated hub, and it frames a central tachometer as well as a 170-mph speedometer, a clock, and gauges for oil level, oil temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 73k miles, approximately 6k of which were added under current ownership. The odometer was inoperative from 2010 until it was repaired in 2014, and the seller estimates that approximately 800 miles were driven annually during that period.

The 3.0-liter flat-six features Bosch fuel injection and was factory rated at 172 horsepower and 189 lb-ft of torque. Replacement accessory drive belts were installed in 2016, and maintenance in 2017 consisted of replacing assorted oil lines and ignition components, along with the air hose and cam housing oil feed line. Carrera-specification chain tensioners were installed in 2019, and additional work at that time included testing and resealing the thermostat, installing revised breather hoses, and replacing the firewall insulation pad. A replacement battery was sourced in 2020, and the seller tells us that a battery maintainer is used when the car is stored. The oil was most recently changed in August 2026.

A seller-provided spreadsheet in the gallery lists work performed between 1997 and 2016. The associated service records dating from 1997 will also accompany the car.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Type 915 five-speed manual transaxle and an optional limited-slip differential. Work performed in 2019 consisted of machining the flywheel and replacing the clutch, release bearing, pilot bearing, rear main seal, clutch fork, transaxle mainshaft seal, and the clutch cable bushing at the pedal, after which the clutch assembly was balanced. The seller tells us that the engine bay and undercarriage were cleaned with dry ice in July 2026. Additional photos of the underside condition are viewable in the gallery below.
