This red-over-red 1960 Chevrolet Corvette was acquired by the seller in 2002 and is powered by a rebuilt 283ci V8 paired with a three-speed manual transmission. The engine is topped with a Holley four-barrel carburetor and an Edelbrock intake manifold, and the car is further equipped with a white convertible soft top, a removable body-color hardtop, 15″ steel wheels, Al Knoch seat covers, lap belts, a Wonderbar AM radio, and a dash-mounted rearview mirror. This C1 is now offered at no reserve with a hardtop stand, an owner’s manual, service records, and a Virginia title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in red with white coves, and exterior equipment includes a white convertible soft top, a removable body-color hardtop, quadruple headlights, split chrome bumpers, fender vents, and dual exhaust outlets. The trunk weatherstrip and door locks were replaced in 2011, and a hood support bolt was installed in 2016. A scratch from a wiper blade is noted on the passenger side of the windshield, though the windshield wipers presently do not work. There are spots of deformed weatherstripping on the hardtop bottom from resting on the included stand. Paint chips and crazing are present around the body.

The 15″ steel wheels feature spinner-style covers and are mounted with 215/75 Firestone FR380 tires that were installed in 2008. The front suspension was overhauled that year with replacement king pins, tie rod ends, springs, and shocks. The rear leaf springs, shackles, and upper strut rods were replaced in 2011 along with the rear wheel cylinders and shoes. The brake master cylinder was replaced in 2016.

The bucket seats were overhauled with replacement springs, foam, and red Al Knoch vinyl covers in 2011. Interior appointments include a color-coordinated dash pad, carpets, and door panels as well as sunshades, lap belts, a Wonder Bar AM radio, and a dash-mounted rearview mirror. The seller notes that the side windows can be rolled past their stops due to missing parts, and the heater does not work.

The three-spoke steering wheel frames a sweeping 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer as well as gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, battery charge, and oil pressure. The tachometer reads incorrectly. The five-digit odometer shows 17k miles, approximately 470 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.

The 283ci V8 was rebuilt in 2004, and the pushrods and rocker arms were replaced in 2021. Equipment includes an Edelbrock Performer 2101 intake manifold, a Holley four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock valve covers, an HEI distributor, an aluminum radiator, and a five-blade fan.

Power is routed to the rear wheels via a three-speed manual transmission and a Positraction differential. The rear differential pinion seal was replaced in 2011, and the mufflers were replaced in 2024.
The Virginia title carries a “Not Actual” odometer brand.
