This Aurora GRX is a Slabside Cobra replica that was produced in 1983 by Aurora Cars Limited of Ontario, Canada. The car is #96 of approximately 170 built over a two-year production run. Its powertrain features a carbureted 302ci V8 mated to a four-speed manual transmission and Jaguar independent rear suspension with a limited-slip differential. Other details include rack-and-pinion steering, 16″ wire wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, a Kenwood stereo, and black leather upholstery. This GRX shows 17k miles, and it is offered by the selling dealer, a BaT Local Partner, with a tonneau cover, a black soft top, an accident-free Carfax report, and a New York title that lists it as a 1983 Aurora.

The GRX’s slabside fiberglass body was manufactured by C&C Yachts Custom Division. Details include Euro-spec headlamps, mesh headlight guards, fender-mounted mirrors, three windshield wipers, a telescoping rear antenna, and rear-exit dual exhaust outlets.

The running gear features rack-and-pinion steering, coilover dampers, and four-wheel disc brakes. The 16″ wire-spoke wheels are mounted with 215/60 Dunlop SP Sport 4000 A/S tires.

The black interior has leather upholstery, bolstered sport seats, carpeted floors, map pockets, kick-panel speakers, and a Kenwood stereo. An air conditioning controller is noted, although a compressor is no longer installed under the hood.

A wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts Smiths instruments. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 17k miles. A mileage inconsistency is listed in an August 2015 entry on the Carfax report, which notes that it may be the result of a clerical error.

The 302ci Ford V8 has an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor on a polished aluminum intake manifold.

A four-speed manual transmission sends power to the Jaguar-specification rear end, which has inboard disc brakes, quadruple shock absorbers, and a limited-slip differential.
The Carfax report shows the aforementioned mileage inconsistency.
The odometer reading on the New York title is “Exempt”.
