This 1992 Land Rover Defender 90 is a left-hand-drive three-door wagon that was registered in Italy and refurbished before it was imported to the US and acquired by the seller in 2021. Work following the seller’s purchase included the installation of Chocolate Lucari leather upholstery, sound insulation, wood flooring, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, and replacement air conditioning, timing, cooling, steering, and suspension components. Finished in Pembroke Gray with a white roof, the truck is powered by a 2.5-liter turbodiesel inline-four linked to a five-speed manual transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and a locking center differential. It also has 16″ alloy wheels, front disc brakes, a receiver hitch, and inward-facing rear bench seats. This Defender 90 is now offered at no reserve with a British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate, service records, spare parts, four keys, a truck cover, a clean Carfax report, and a clean New Jersey title in the seller’s name that lists the truck as a 1993 model.

The aluminum body was finished in Pembroke Grey from the factory, and it was repainted in the same shade under prior ownership, according to the seller. Exterior details include a white roof, alpine windows, Holley LED headlights, “Offender” grille lettering, black checker-plate trim on the front fender tops, folding side steps, windshield vents, a receiver hitch, a badge bar, and mud flaps.

Silver-finished 16″ Freestyle five-spoke alloy wheels are mounted with 265/75 Michelin Defender LTX M/S tires, and a matching full-size spare is affixed to the swing-out rear door. Stopping power is provided by front disc and rear drum brakes. Work performed in November 2024 included replacing all four shock absorbers, servicing the front axle swivel balls, adjusting the handbrake, flushing the brake fluid, and replacing the steering box.

The cabin was refurbished under current ownership and features front bucket seats and inward-facing folding rear jump seats trimmed in Chocolate Lucari leather. The seller tells us that sound-deadening material was installed beneath the custom slatted wood flooring that extends across the front footwells, bulkhead divider, and rear cargo floor. Wood trim accents the upper dashboard rail and flanks the cargo area with integrated storage cubbies. Amenities include an aftermarket under-dash air conditioning and heating unit, a leather-trimmed center console with cupholders, turned hardwood shift knobs, a dash-mounted analog clock, 12-volt and USB power sockets, a passenger footwell fire extinguisher, and bulkhead leather tie-down straps securing an umbrella and accessory pouch.

A retrofitted wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts a 150-km/h speedometer and auxiliary gauges for voltage, coolant temperature, and fuel level. Yellow mph designations have been added to the speedometer lens. The six-digit odometer shows 20k kilometers (~128k miles), approximately 9k kilometers (~5k miles) of which were added under current ownership.

The 2.5-liter 200Tdi turbodiesel inline-four features direct injection and a Garrett turbocharger with an intercooler. The timing belt and water pump were replaced in May 2021.

Power is routed to all four wheels through an LT77 five-speed manual transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and a locking center differential. Additional photos of the underside condition are viewable in the gallery.

The British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate shows a build date of 3 September 1992, dispatch to Rover Italia in Italy, original colors, and serial numbers.

Spare parts, a truck cover, and service records are included in the sale along with four keys.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other reported damage from an initial update in 2021.
