You have likely heard more than a few cat stuck somewhere high rescue stories but we can assure you that you have never heard of one like this. For this rescue takes place on the pylon of a busy train line several tens of feet above a busy freeway below. To say that the situation was precarious is an understatement. One wrong move that would panic this cat and it would all be over in a messy instant. First on the scene were first responders who were doing their best to understand the severity of the situation. They found that the cat was perched on a ledge that was too narrow to access and the concrete above made it too tight to squeeze into. This is when our poster, a local cat rescue, stepped in. they leapt into action and brought along a cat trap in the hopes that by placing it on the inaccessible ledge the feline would feel hungry at some point and take the bait.
After hours of waiting and worrying, the magical moment finally happened and without all too much fuss this catto stepped into the trap and towards freedom. It was a moment that was hard to imagine would actually happen and one that left everyone in shock. The situation was incredibly unique and took a lot of time and resources to accomplish. Something that we do not often see when it comes to cat rescues, namely because society tends to view them as relatively unimportant. But for whatever reason this cat was more than important enough to save and so the efforts were made and the money spent.
It just goes to show what can be achieved when great minds and money come together. Good can truly be achieved in this world when people want to do it. So we hope that you can take this shining example of heroism towards feline kind as a standard that all felines in this world deserve and one that we should be pushing for our local emergency services and lawmakers to make significant changes such that rescues like this do not have to be a rarity. Obviously it would be great if cats would not get stuck in such scary spots in the first place, but sometimes a cat is just gonna cat no matter what. So there may as well be the resources to help them when they do.
