This 1963 Chevrolet Corvair 900 Monza convertible was acquired by the seller in 2018 following a repaint in burgundy and the addition of white upholstery with burgundy piping. It is powered by a 145ci flat-six that is linked to a four-speed manual transaxle and has a power-operated white soft top, 13″ wire-look wheels, a heater, and a push-button radio. This Corvair Monza convertible is now offered at no reserve in Florida with a Virginia title in the seller’s name.

The Corvair was the first unibody model produced by Fisher Body, and this example was originally finished in Palomar Red. It was previously refinished in orange, and a repaint in its current shade was performed in 2016. The car has a replacement power-operated white soft top, a driver-side mirror, and reverse lights. The left floor pan was replaced in 2018.

Wire-look 13″ wheels are mounted with Maxxis tires. The seller states that the tires need to be replaced and that the brake system requires service. The Corvair’s factory independent suspension utilized coil springs all around and swing axles at the rear.

The front bucket seats and rear bench were retrimmed in white with burgundy piping in 2015, and the carpets were also replaced. The cabin is equipped with a push-button radio. Interior wear is depicted in the gallery below.

The two-spoke steering wheel features a chrome horn ring and frames a horizontal 100-mph speedometer and a readout for fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 12k miles, and the seller believes that the odometer has been replaced.

The rear-mounted, air-cooled 145ci Turbo-Air flat-six is equipped with dual carburetors, and the seller notes that work between 2018 and 2019 involved rebuilding the starter and pressure plate as well as replacing the flywheel, harmonic balancer, and oil pan.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle. The seller states that the clutch requires adjustment.
