7k-Kilometer 1978 Chevrolet Corvette Pace Car Edition L82 4-Speed Project at No Reserve

This Chevrolet Corvette Pace Car Edition was purchased new at Arthur Sirois Ltée Chevrolet in Rivière-du-Loup, Quebec, Canada, and the owner passed away shortly after taking delivery. The car reportedly spent the next 47 years in the widow’s garage before being acquired by the seller from her estate in 2026. The car does not run and will require service after sitting for nearly five decades. Power is provided by a 350ci L82 V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission and the car is finished in Black and Silver over Silver cloth upholstery. Equipment includes a Positraction differential, removable glass roof panels, 15″ eight-slot alloy wheels, an AM/FM stereo, cruise control, and power windows. This special-edition C3 Corvette non-running project shows 7k kilometers (~4,200 miles) is now offered in Canada at no reserve with the build sheet, purchase documents, manufacturer’s literature, and a British Columbia registration.

The 1978 Corvette featured a revised fastback roofline with wraparound rear glass, and all Pace Car examples were finished in two-tone black and silver with a red stripe below the blend line. Exterior equipment includes removable glass T-top roof panels, pop-up headlights, side marker lights, fender air vents, sport mirrors, and quad taillights.

The 15″ eight-slot alloy wheels are mounted with 255/60 Goodyear GT Radial white-letter tires that are said to have been fitted at the factory. Braking is handled by four-wheel power-assisted discs.

The cabin features bucket seats trimmed in Silver cloth along with a color-matching dash, center console, door panels, and carpeting. Interior amenities include an AM/FM eight-track stereo, cruise control, power windows, a tilting steering column, and air conditioning.

The three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 140-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer. Gauges for coolant temperature, oil temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level are located in the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 7k kilometers (~4,200 miles).

The 350ci L82 V8 is equipped with a four-barrel carburetor and an aluminum intake manifold and was factory rated at 220 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. The engine does not run.

The engine is backed by a four-speed manual transmission and a Positraction differential.

The build sheet displays factory options, colors, and the initial delivery location. The purchase documents and manufacturer’s literature accompany the vehicle.

The car is being sold on its registration, which serves as the ownership document in British Columbia, Canada.
