Kind person feeds stray ginger cat once, the feline immediately chooses them, runs into their home and refuses to leave until they adopt her

Some cats need a little time to warm up to people. Others… not so much.

You know, I think some cats are just waiting for their human to show up. They might be living outside, minding their own business, doing their little stray cat things, but deep down, they know that there is a much better life waiting for them somewhere. And sometimes, all it takes is one person showing them a little kindness. One meal. One small gesture. A little bit of love. That’s all the convincing they need. They see you, they decide that you’re their person, and suddenly, you’re no longer a stranger, and they are no longer a stray. You’re family. And honestly, I think ginger cats might be particularly good at this. If they use their one braincell for anything, it’s to get adopted into good homes.

Of course, once a cat decides that you’re their human, there isn’t much room for negotiation. You can try to explain that you weren’t planning on adopting another cat, that you only came outside to feed them, and that perhaps they should consider taking things a little slower. But do you really think they’re going to listen? Absolutely not. They have already made their decision, and as far as they’re concerned, the adoption paperwork has practically been signed. Your home is their home now, and you are officially their human. The CDS has spoken, and there is no appeal process. And you know what? Sometimes, it’s best to just accept your fate. We have yet to see even one purrson regret it.
