23-Years-Owned 1997 Porsche Boxster at No Reserve

This 1997 Porsche Boxster is an Arctic Silver Metallic-over-Boxster Red example that was delivered new to Braman Motorcars in West Palm Beach, Florida. The seller purchased the car from the original owner in 2003 as a 65th birthday gift for their father, and it now has 91k miles. Powered by a 2.5-liter flat-six paired with a five-speed Tiptronic automatic transaxle, the roadster features the Sport Package, a replacement black soft top, 17″ Carrera-look twist-spoke wheels, a hi-fi sound system, cruise control, and metal door sill guards. This 986 Boxster is now offered by the seller on behalf of their father at no reserve with a window sticker, manufacturer’s literature, service records, two keys, accessories, and a Rhode Island title in the owner’s name.

The body is finished in Arctic Silver Metallic with black roll hoops as well as a black soft top that is said to have been replaced. The Carfax report notes “functional” damage to the left side of the car in an August 2010 accident, which the seller attributes to being bumped by another vehicle. The left door and left-front fender were reportedly repaired and repainted to address the damage, and the seller also tells us that the front trunk lid has been repainted. Clear paint protection film is installed up front, and older film is cracking near the wheel arches. The left side intake scoop is discolored, and other imperfections are photographed in the gallery below.

Silver-finished 17″ Carrera-look twist-spoke wheels are mounted with Yokohama tires. Braking is handled by four-piston Porsche-branded calipers fitted over vented rotors at all four corners. The brake and power steering fluids were changed in mid-2026.

The Boxster Red Special leather interior is outfitted with bucket seats, cruise control, a hi-fi sound system, a CDR-210 stereo, and Boxster-branded metal door sill guards. The air-conditioning system does not work properly.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel has shift switches and fronts a central tachometer, a 160-mph speedometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 91k miles, approximately 60k of which were added under current ownership. Two of the instrument cluster display backlights are burnt out.

The mid-mounted 2.5-liter M96 flat-six was factory rated at 201 horsepower and 181 lb-ft of torque. The coolant was changed in the summer of 2026.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed Tiptronic automatic transaxle, the fluid for which was changed in the summer of 2026.

The window sticker notes initial delivery to Braman Motorcars in West Palm Beach, Florida, and lists factory equipment, colors, options, and a total price of $50,894. Manufacturer’s literature, a rear lid luggage carrier, and accessories will also accompany the car.

The Carfax report notes the aforementioned accident.

The Rhode Island title notes “Actual Mileage” in the Brand section.
