This Aurora GRX is a Slabside Cobra replica that was manufactured by Aurora Cars Limited of Ontario, Canada, and is #85 of approximately 170 vehicles reportedly built over a two-year production run in the early 1980s. This example underwent a refurbishment from 2020 to 2022 that involved repainting the body in red and reupholstering the interior in black vinyl, and the seller acquired it in 2022 and had an additional $15k in work completed in 2025. Power is provided by a 302ci V8 linked to a four-speed manual transmission, and equipment includes a tubular steel frame, 16″ alloy wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, Flowmaster mufflers, wind wings, a luggage rack and suitcase, and Talbot Berlin-style mirrors. Previously listed on BaT in July 2026, this Aurora GRX Cobra replica is now offered at no reserve in California with service records, spare parts, a clean Carfax report, and a Montana title in the name of the seller’s LLC listing the vehicle as a 1983 Aurora Tudor.

The slabside fiberglass body was manufactured by C&C Yachts Custom Division and was refinished in red between 2020 and 2022. Reproduction Lucas headlights were mounted under current ownership along with reproduction Hayward Ford—a San Francisco Bay-area Ford dealership—license plate frames. Exterior equipment includes fender-mounted side mirrors, tubular bumpers, Cobra badging, and a luggage rack. The vintage suitcase mounted to the rack features racetrack logo stickers from tracks where Shelbys earned notable wins, and international Cobra club stickers are permanently affixed to the lower outside corners of the windshield. The front turn signals were replaced under current ownership. There is no top or tonneau cover, and the power antenna does not work.

The 16″ alloy wheels with faux three-eared spinners are wrapped in 205/55 Doral SDL-Sport tires. The car is fitted with independent front and rear suspension, coilovers, and rack-and-pinion steering. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes that include inboard-mounted rears.

The cockpit was overhauled between 2020 and 2022 and features bucket seats reupholstered in black vinyl along with a color-coordinated center console, dashboard, and door panels. Appointments include a Blaupunkt head unit, latch-and-link seatbelts, door map pockets, and tinted sun visors. The air conditioning system has not been tested and its functionality is unknown.

The wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 120-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, voltage, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 11k miles, approximately 500 of which were added under current ownership.

The 302ci V8 is equipped with a Holley carburetor and intake manifold along with finned Cobra-branded valve covers. The carburetor was rebuilt under current ownership, and the thermostat, oil pan gasket, distributor, spark plugs, and ignition wires have been replaced.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. Work under current ownership included replacing the transmission shaft seal, repairing frame damage, and fabricating a dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers.

Photos taken during various stages of the refurbishment are viewable in the gallery below.

A removed set of wheels, roll bar, and additional parts are included in the sale.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or reported damage. The vehicle has not passed a California emissions test.
