SBC-Powered 1960 Studebaker Lark VI 2-Door Sedan w/Dual-Quad Intake

This 1960 Studebaker Lark was modified by a previous owner with Lark VIII badging, updated lighting, auxiliary gauges, and a small-block Chevrolet V8 linked to a TH350 automatic. Its off-white paintwork is complemented by chrome bumpers and a tri-tone interior, and additional features include a Dana 44 rear end, a dual-quad intake with Edelbrocks, tubular heads, upgraded cooling components, traction bars, front disc brakes, and a dual exhaust system. The car was offered on BaT in November 2018, and it was acquired by its current owner in 2019. Since that time, the drivetrain was reportedly rebuilt and the front disc conversion was performed. This Lark is now offered by the seller on behalf of its owner with an Ohio title.

The body was reportedly refinished in 2011, and Xtremevision 40w LED headlights have been added along with Lark VIII badges. Areas of corrosion are photographed in the gallery.

The car rides on staggered tires mounted on the 14″ steel wheels, which are painted a contrasting color and fitted with trim rings as well as baby moons. The car has a front disc conversion, and out back traction bars have been installed.

The blue upholstery is accented with two-tone stripes, and a previous owner installed an under-dashboard fan and a hidden Bluetooth stereo.

Since the last auction a two-spoke wheel has been retrofitted, and the car also has AutoMeter gauges and a dashboard-mounted tachometer. The car is believed to have over 100k miles, though total mileage is unknown. The seller reports some of the gauges do not work properly.

The small-block Chevy V8 is topped by a polished Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold and twin Edelbrock carburetors, and headers are linked to a dual exhaust system. The cooling system was also upgraded, and the seller reports that the engine is believed to be a 350ci and was rebuilt in 2024.

Per the seller, the Turbo 350 automatic was also rebuilt. It is linked to a Dana 44 with V8-spec rear brakes.

The title describes the car as a Studebaker-Wort Lark VIII and lists an odometer reading of 99,900 miles with an Actual notation. The 60S designation aligns with a six-cylinder Lark VI.
