350-Powered ’34 Ford Roadster

This ’34 Ford roadster is believed to have been built in the early 1990s on a Heinzman Street Rods chassis and incorporates a Gibbon fiberglass body, a Heidts Mustang II-style front suspension, and a Ford 8-inch rear axle. Equipment includes staggered wire-spoke wheels, whitewalls, front disc brakes, an AM/FM radio with Bluetooth connectivity, and a bench seat. The car is powered by a Chevrolet 350 V8 paired with a Turbo 350 three-speed automatic transmission and is finished in red over black vinyl upholstery. Purchased by the seller in 2025, this ’34 Ford roadster is now offered with service records, a car cover, and a clean Texas title in the seller’s name.

The Gibbon fiberglass body and fenders are painted red, and it features a Rootlieb steel hood, a steel ’34-style grille, a single horn, and an electrically operated trunk. The seller notes minor paint imperfections and slight separation of the convertible top material behind the driver’s seat.

Chrome Wheels Vintiques Series 73 wire-spoke wheels are mounted with wide-whitewall tires measuring 5.60-14 up front and 8.20-15 at the rear. The Heinzman Street Rods chassis incorporates a Heidts Mustang II-style independent front suspension, rack-and-pinion steering, front coil springs and shocks, rear leaf springs sourced from a 1973 Ford Maverick, and a Ford 8-inch rear axle. Braking is handled by front discs and rear drums. Service in September 2023 included replacement of the strut rod bushings and rack-and-pinion boots.

Two-tone upholstery covers the bench seat and door panels. Equipment includes seatbelts, a Boss AM/FM radio with Bluetooth connectivity, a Vintage Air heater with outlets behind the seats, snap-on side curtains, and a zip-out rear window.

A Forever Sharp steering wheel fronts Stewart-Warner instrumentation consisting of a 160-mph speedometer, a five-digit odometer, and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and battery voltage. The odometer shows 19k miles, approximately 250 of which were added under current ownership.

The Chevrolet 350 V8 is equipped with an Edelbrock intake manifold, carburetor, and aluminum valve covers along with tubular headers, a chrome alternator, a Walker Cobra radiator installed in June 2020, and a frame-mounted battery cutoff switch. The seller states that only routine maintenance has been performed during current ownership.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Turbo 350 three-speed automatic transmission and a Ford 8-inch rear axle.

Records and notes associated with the build are detailed in the gallery.

The car is titled as a 1934 Ford Convertible using VIN 18144918. The title lists the odometer reading as exempt.
