This 1948 MG TC was purchased out of Massachusetts by the current owner in 1992, and it is fitted with cycle-style front fenders and has been repainted in cream over green leather. Powered by a 1,250cc inline-four paired with a four-speed manual transmission, the vehicle is equipped with 19″ knock-off wire wheels, a black soft top, a driving light, a wood dashboard panel, a Moto-Lita wood-rimmed steering wheel, and lap belts. In 2025, the dual SU carburetors were cleaned and the cylinder-head gasket, spark plugs, points, rotor, and battery were replaced. This TC is now offered on dealer consignment with recent service records, a writeup from the current owner, and a Pennsylvania title in the owner’s name.

The car was repainted in a cream color in the 1980s, according to the seller, who notes that the cycle-style front fenders were adapted decades ago under prior ownership. Features include louvered hood panels, a folding windshield, electric windshield wipers, a driver-side mirror, rear-hinged doors, a flip-up fuel cap, and dual taillights. The folding black soft top and the top boot have been replaced.

The badge bar holds a Lucas Altette electric horn and a single driving light. Rust is noted where the sending unit goes into the external fuel tank, the rear fenders are missing paint down low, and other imperfections are pictured in the gallery below.

Silver-painted 19″ knock-off wire wheels are mounted with Firestone and Goodyear tires, and a spare is secured to the rear of the vehicle against the fuel tank. The hydraulic drum brakes were overhauled in 2019.

The right-hand-drive cabin is equipped with a split bench trimmed in green leather. Interior appointments include a wood dashboard, a dash-mounted rearview mirror, lap belts, a passenger-side grab handle, and door-panel map pockets. The black carpeting has been replaced.

The Moto-Lita wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts Jaeger white-dial instrumentation consisting of a 6,500-rpm tachometer with an inset clock as well as a 105-mph speedometer, an ammeter, and an oil-pressure gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 9k miles, approximately 3k of which were added under current ownership. The seller states that the odometer reading is not accurate, and true mileage is unknown.

The 1,250cc inline-four was factory rated at 54 horsepower. The dual SU carburetors were cleaned in June 2025, and the cylinder-head gasket was replaced along with the spark plugs, ignition points, distributor rotor, and battery.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. Corrosion is noted on underbody components.

The replacement identification tag is shown above. The car number appears to show a letter “I” where typically there would be a slash mark after the prefix “TC”. The title identifies the vehicle with the number TC6454.
The Pennsylvania title bears a Duplicate notation.
