This custom truck was built by a prior owner using a 1954 Chevrolet 6400 cab and a fabricated bed mounted to a Chevrolet squarebody 1-ton chassis. Following the seller’s purchase in 2024, the existing drivetrain was removed, and a 6.2-liter Vortec V8 and 6L80E six-speed automatic transmission were installed. The truck rides on 16” wheels with a dually rear axle, and the interior has been customized with cloth bucket seats, a center console, air conditioning, a Kenwood CD head unit, and aftermarket gauges. The wood cargo bed has storage lockers along either side, and other highlights include a windshield visor, a receiver hitch, a chrome front bumper, and front disc brakes. Previously offered on BaT in March 2026, this custom 6400 is now offered again at no reserve with a clean Utah title in the seller’s name listing the truck as a 1954 Chevrolet.

The five-window cab was stripped and repaired before it was mounted to a 1983 Chevrolet 1-ton dually chassis, according to the seller. A custom cargo bed frame was fabricated, and a receiver hitch, storage lockers, and rear fenders were added. The truck is finished in satin black with white and red pinstriping, and details include a body-color grille, a windshield visor, a chrome front bumper, wood side steps, dual side mirrors, and LED taillights. Rust spots are noted on the cowl and left-rear fender. Cracked paint and other imperfections around the truck are shown up close in the image gallery below.

The wood cargo bed features stepped sides and removable dividers.

Chrome 16” wheels are wrapped in Atturo Trail Blade A/T tires, which the seller recommends replacing. The truck is equipped with power steering and rides on a coil-spring independent front suspension and a live rear axle supported by longitudinal leaf springs. Braking is handled by front discs and rear drums.

The cab features reclining bucket seats trimmed in black cloth. Air conditioning has been added along with a center console that houses a Kenwood CD head unit, two cupholders, and a storage compartment. The glove compartment insert has deteriorated, and a tear in the headliner is shown up close in the gallery.

The Grant steering wheel has a cracked rim and is mounted to a tilt column ahead of an Omega Kustom 140-mph speedometer and combination gauge, while an Equus 8k-rpm tachometer is mounted atop the dash. The digital odometer has not been calibrated, and true mileage is unknown.

The 6.2-liter Vortec V8 and 6L80E six-speed automatic transmission are said to be sourced from a 2008 Cadillac Escalade that had been driven just over 100k miles at the time they were removed. The dual exhaust system has MagnaFlow mufflers, and the aluminum radiator is cooled by an electric puller fan.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Dana 60 rear end. Corrosion is visible on underbody components, which can be viewed in the gallery.

The vehicle is titled as a 1954 Chevrolet using the VIN W54K008744, which appears on the identification plate shown above and is consistent with a 1954 Chevrolet 6400. The seller is unable to locate the frame VIN.
